Oh no, I'm sorry to hear this!   I still love the Munsters.

You know Wysteria Lane in Desperate Housewives is the Munsters street....the Applewhites are in the Munster house.   (Mary Alice's house was Beaver Cleaver's.)

Back in the mid 1980s Yvonne DeCarlo and several other actresses of her generation went on tour and played in New Orleans.  My bf and I had 3 tickets for us and another friend but at the last minute I decided to let another pesty friend have my ticket because I'm a doormat.  I digress.

One of Yvonne's songs was "Don't let it rain on my parade" (?) and she forgot the lyrics in the middle of the song but the orchestra finished playing it.  She then said "I guess I got lost in that parade." and the audience practically peed on themselves with laughter.

The Munsters is one of those programs I find amusing even now. I wonder if Blockbuster has them in stock?  Surely the entire ouvre has been remastered and issued on DVD?

Is it true that something disfiguring happened to her, and she was pleased with the Munsters gig because of all the pancake she could wear?

I loved the Munsters too.....but with all the acting she did in her career it's a shame that she will forever be known as Lily Munster.  And with all that makeup she wore on the show it's easy to forget what a beautiful woman she really was.

I remember her more as being Moses wife.
Especially her line with Heston under the mountain after she asks "which one of my sisters did you chose?".
Great under-rated actress!

I love the Munsters. It was so campy and just plain fun.

The last time I remember seeing Yvonne DeCarlo in a film was in "Oscar," in which she played Sly Stallone's mother.

RIP, dear Yvonne, you will be missed.

HUGS,
