It's gonna sound kinda stupid...But I dreamt about being the guardian of a wonderfull brilliant source-of-life-in-the-universe . And 3 gods were watching me run all over the place, trying to escape from some dark people behind me, trying to take that thing away from me. I had powers (I could change my consistency to liquid, plastic, whatever), and when I finally had a moment to rest , then one of the gods would come over me, do some sort of approval gesture, and make it even harder for me....

All night long...And this was with my eyes open..Just the first nights on Sustiva...

Secret,

It's nice that you want to help out, but perhaps you should leave the giving of advice to those of us who know what we're doing. Testing the syringe would have been of no value in this case, if indeed it's possible nor was Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) warranted.

Tm2k,

Please disregard Secret's comments.

Secret,

I've taken all your posts (that haven't been binned) and put them here, into your own thread. I saw the thread you started here the other day so I know that you have questions about your hiv status and I also know that you don't really know much about hiv at all. I didn't have time to answer your questions and by the time I came back to do so, you had edited your post to a blank.

You also don't know how these forums work, so I am asking you to please read the Welcome Thread, pay attention to the posting guidelines (particularly the one about not posting in areas meant for people who have been diagnosed with hiv - which you have NOT) and also follow the links to the Lessons.

We need you to keep ALL of your additional thoughts or comments in this, your own thread.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Secret,

Symptoms or the lack of symptoms mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection and for that reason, there is no point in discussing them with you.

It is rare in the extreme for a person to become infected through GIVING a blowjob. Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk at all.

You only need to test if you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, unless it is part of a routine sexual health care screen. Anyone who is sexually active should have that done at least once a year.

If you have been having unprotected intercourse, stop. Test 12-13 weeks after the latest unprotected encounter for a conclusive result.

And by the way, you can tell your therapist that hiv positive people don't like hiv negative people coming on to their support forums to put us under the microscope. You can also tell your therapist that for someone who is questioning their negative hiv results, an hiv positive internet support forum is the worst place to go as it only fuels fears. Maybe you need to find a therapist who knows a little more about hiv.

you can only get over fear by facing and studying roots of the fear, you are right,  forums does flues fears but ones you get used to fear- FEAR IS GONE

Secret,

and by the way education and studying its never bad think, how can you be negative about that?

the only solution for preventing HIV its reality education, and NOT by telling the kids/student "bla bla, use condoms, otherwise you can catch HIV, but its not easy to catch and  we have good meds and people with hiv live long and die old",

BUT exactly letting them know what hiv poz ppl going trough in their lives (feelings, med side effects, worries- TRUTH!)

p.s. me/my company is almost ready to take this step in "HIGH POWER HIV EDUCATION" ("scare people to death conception"), we starting collect the money 10% income each moths hopefully  by the end of this year.

regards and please support me on that one!

OK, i feel like i need to "exposure"  my self!

why I'm doing this?

i believe in what has happened to me was the kick from the god and he gave me the other chance,
he may believe in me? (thought I'm not sure if i do, (huh.., do i need another kick?))

and that was the reasons why it happened to me, i got the message soon after the incident,
and getting new ones and new ones almost on daily basis (clear/clearer ideas in my head)

i feel like i have found my answers in this forum

i could not decide which road to take in me doing something about it(giving back), before i ended up here reading all the stories from real people, now i think i got it

this is the time to take the drastic action

now this is the CONCEPT/the message/the idea: !! "to scare negatives "to death"(by making them acknowledge the truth -"THAT FEELING"), so they
would never go near potential exposure, let them be paranoid, but healthy,  they better be developing symptoms of being scared , rather then  actual virus"

this is the way see it at the moment, and now i see it very clearly (and i don't use drugs or alcohol and have high IQ129)

pls help me to realise that and i'm not fu$king mad!

tell me just the ONE reason why it wont work?

anyways, anyone, that finding this idea/campaign fascinating(again- "scaring people to death"huh, and not by made up stories (don't get me wrong- by actual scary facts from your lives, guys)

lets call the progect: "I KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS" to start with

bye for now
love

jeanne,

You need to read up on the history of the pandemic. The scare campaign tactic has already been tried and it failed miserably.

People don't need to be scared, they just need the facts and the facts are pretty simple. Use condoms.

It would also help if religious groups didn't make such a song and dance about human sexuality. People have been programmed by the creator to have sexual relations with each other and people need to get over that fact.

ann, if you could pass me the link for "scare campaign tactic has already been tried and it failed miserably."
as i could not find it by ,

googling "hiv scare tactic" i found following:

"Uganda:... and over 50% of the population have never been tested. I was told that in the villages and small towns people die every day. The traditional people still believe that AIDS is another scary tactic from the west, it doesn’t exist, sexual misbehavior is still pretty much alive etc. "

and following:

With the advent of anti-retroviral drugs, the number of people living with HIV has grown steadily."We're facing a new generation of problems in HIV prevention," said Thomas Coates, who heads the UCSF AIDS Research Institute. "That is, how to do prevention when AIDS isn't so scary any more."

i come back with better report later

Ok, Sorry Goderators for hyjacking, this just rubbed me the WRONG way. Jeanne...'would never go near potential exposure'... ONE reason you seek...Well, folks that are HIV+ need not be treated as though they are outcasts. I have a close friend that I have had sexual relations with, he's HIV+. Although I found myself turning into a 'worry well' due to extremely odd symptoms at some really crappy timing, in my case I was having some bad prescription drug reactions, nothing more. Although the relationship didn't work out, mind you regardless of his status!, he and I have shared some wonderful times together as lovers and continue to be very active in eachothers lives as friends. The attitude and love for life I have learned from him, I could never repay... nor would I ever trade.

Furthermore, to have people living in constant fear is insanity itself. It's dictatorship. It's unacceptable. The best way to minimize infection is through sound advice and education, which IS given here in this forum. The 'over conservatives' only instigate fear. Sex Ed in schools needs to be more realistic, parents need to take an active position in teaching their children, AND everyone needs to be responsible for their own health and practice safe sex (condoms not abstenance) when outside a monogamous relationship.

One last thing, HIV is a disease. Cancer is a disease. Alcoholism is a disease. People think 'oh ya got cancer, I'm so sorry'. But if your a drunk or you've got a disease caused by sex, ohhh My stay the hell away. What the fuck ever happened to compassion! Again, sorry to the powers that be, I just felt really strongly about this. Take care!

ps. Matty, I hope you're feeling better

secret,

We're not really in the habit of deleting threads.

It's good that you want to educate yourself more on hiv, but please, think more before you post. Making mistakes is all part of the learning process, but being sensitive to the feelings of others goes a long way to making people want to help you out.

If you don't post to this thread anymore, it will quickly drop off the page. However, if you want to continue posting here, this thread is the only place you should do it.
