Hey,...

Try the hemorrhoid suppository, and also get the cream too. Make sure to get it around the area.  Apply according to instructions, and see if that will give you some sort of relief.  Try not to force bowel movements, if that's the case.

I get occasional  hemorroids, and the supps and the cream work great.  Haven't had any issues for some time now.

Considering all the problems that happen in the back yard of those who are HIV positive, I think you should run this by your doctor just to be on the safe side.

I had this problem for almost fifteen years up to the year 2007.  Added to my HIV infection it finally becomes terribly bad.  The suppository, creams and cleaning may probably give you temporary relief.  But I don't think it will not give you eventual cure.  So see your doctor who might probably put you on surgery.  The surgery is so simple and effective and will definitely alleviate you from this problem.

In my experience, they will go away in about 5-7 days, though it seems like the longs 5-7 days of your life. Warm baths seems to alleviate the discomfort somewhat, along with applying creams.  If you have frequent problems with 'roids, I recommend talking to your doctor.

It's not big at all probably the size of a little peanut I've been putting cream on it for about two days now but I keep messing with it like pushing on it and what not, should i try to not touch it and it will just go away or should I keep poking it.

External hemorrhoids vary in size -- IIRC they're graded 1-4, four being the worst. 13 years ago I lifted a heavy window A/C by myself up four flights of stairs and this gave me a wretched grade 4 external hemorrhoid that my doctor said should have been photographed for textbooks. Obviously when you have the worst level of this no OTC cream is going to work. Like Henrietta says a warm sitz bath (look it up) helps alleviate the discomfort.

They were going to lance mine but it eventually ruptured on it's own and I've never had another one again, so also there's a great difference in recurring issues and a one-off.

Without knowing how bad yours is from your first post or how often this is happening it's difficult to say "go to the doctor" or just deal with it on your own.

You'd be better off keeping your fingers off as much as possible, aside from when putting cream on it. Avoid lifting heavy things while it's still inflamed, and don't strain when having a BM. Reading on the toilet for more than a few minutes is also not recommended. Rather than sitting there waiting for something to happen, you'd be better off doing something else and returning to the toilet when you actually feel the need.

My father has had hemorrhoid issues for 20 years, and has had surgery at least once perhaps twice, yet he insists on sitting for ages on the toilet still. My mother and I just shake our heads.

Yep. Sitting on the toilet for ages is one of the worst things you can do when you have 'roid issues.

I've never had one before, but i'm guessing that poking it wouldn't be a good idea.
