Got my first numbers back... better but I still have a long road ahead

I got my first numbers back after 17 days of meds... I went from CD4 of "less than 20" to 64, VL is down from 298,000 to 1800. I know I have a long way to go and it's going to be a long road. I was happy to be over 50, as crazy as that sounds, though hoping to be over 100 CD4.  My doctor seemed pretty happy, he said that it was excellent viral suppression... mathematically it looks pretty good. Now I just have to wait for my immune system to rebuild itself. I am totally fine with taking Stribild or other antivirals forever, but I just really am looking forward to stopping the Bactrim and azithromycin!

I also need to keep reminding myself-- better a long smooth road than a bumpy one filled with potholes...

7-10-13: Home oraquick,  vomited
7-11-13: Confirmatory  WB
7-13-13: CD4 less than 20; vl 298k; start bactrim and azithro
7-25-13: Stribild
8-10-13: CD4 64; VL 1800

Hi Wolfhorn , you are right where you should be at 17 days on meds , you should be undetectable in the next week or so with this trend , then , as you stated its a slow climb with  the cd4 . I am excited for you buddy , good work .

Congrats on a very Nice improvement - i too was very happy to go above 50 :-)

Actually I just got the report from the doctor, vl was only 1190, I must have heard it incorrectly over the phone. I just want to get cd4 back!
