so i'm not totally new anymore, a few months,
guess what They think I also  have hep C, i gotto get tested ,i'm doomed
hep c will kill me faster and the treatment is brutal i'm terrified, plus i think i know my source now. I'm finding more clues. aweful i guess i will die in 4 or five years? i already have symptoms?
any one know about co infection: life expectancy fo forth meds

My psychologist told me i should not worry about Hep C until i get a test saying i have Hep C, meanwhile worry and suffer about it would be useless.

the source i believe it came from was from blood and he is hepc positive! affirmed I am just awaiting my tests thanks, just nervous....

Will you also be getting your CD4 and viral load results? We can be of more assistance to you once we have these numbers.

Good luck on the hep C test. You need to know that a positive antibody test result MUST be followed up with viral load testing. Some people clear hep C on their own and this (viral load testing) is the way to find out if you have an active (chronic) or a cleared infection.

It's quite likely you are worrying over nothing where hep C is concerned as hep C is rarely transmitted through sexual contact. Unless you were sharing drug injecting equipment with this guy, it's very unlikely that you would have been infected.

yup just awaiting my hep c results takes a week- two weeks nervous. i guess they do viral load with that too! not sure  about it
I now know my source was hep c
i had a cut and some small amout of blood got into a small cut. i had to figure out where my source was cause i didn;t remember the cut thing.
i thought i aquired it another way stupid?

PP,

Hep C viral load testing is VERY expensive, so they only do it if there has been a positive hep C antibody result. Remember that a hep C positive antibody result does not necessarily mean you have a active/chronic hep C infection.

It sounds rather unlikely that you would have been infected.

Will you be getting your CD4 and hiv viral load results at the same time?
