Hey friends, managed to compile a small list of the major ARVs and their approx cost if purchased in India.
Of the four major Indian genrics of which three are Internationally approved, have posted the lowest rates amongst all.

1) Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Efavirenz (Generic) = Rs 2000/month {US$ 40 - 50} Manuf: Ranbaxy

2) Tenofovir + Lamivudine + Efavirenz = Rs 1500/month {US$ 30 - 37.5} Manuf: MSD(Merck)

3) Isentress (Original) = Rs 10000/month {US$ 200 - 250} Manuf: MSD(Merck)

4) Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Atazanavir/ritonavir (Generic) = Rs 3000/month {US$ 60 - 75) Cipla

5) Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Darunavir/ritonavir = Rs 10000/month {US$ 200 - 250} Manuf: Emcure/Tibotec

these are the major ones, do msg me if u need other drugs prices.

No wonder these days, metro cities like Mumbai and Delhi are seeing many visitors from US n Europe getting their stocks of ARVS in bulk.

Also many of these vendors wont mind shipping if the fees are paid.

:) hope these prices become cheaper every day !!!

Thanks for sharing the info.

I'll keep it in mind whenever the cost of medication comes up!

In fact I am collecting as much info as possible on the combo I take in order to make it available to everyone interested in it or on it already in a dedicated thread in this section.

Do you have price estimates for

Viramune (nevirapine) + Epzicom (aka kivexa) (= Abacavir+Lavimudine aka 3TC) ?

Thanks in advance

Eric
