Post by: sam on July 25, 2006, 11:21:14 am
Hello I am in vacation in morocco
4 days ago I went to a discotheque with one of  my friends,  to those places where you can meet the sexwort er girls, I did not like the place I went out after 30 minutes, what happened that before I went out one of those girls came next to me and start chatting with me and when I asked here what she was drinking she gave me the glass with the straw in it i Sucked a Little and that's all, what made me really worried that when I went to the hotel to sleep and started to brush my teeth I saw a blood coming from my gum , so , i got really worried what  if her saliva on the straw might had got  some blood and she might  have HIV ? What my chance to get the HIV from this  event  thanks very much I am really very worried

Sam,

To start with, if you haven't already done so, read the welcome thread and its associated links at the top of this board.

Hiv is not contracted through casual contact such as you describe.  Sharing glasses, kissing, and receiving oral sex are not a risk for hiv infection because saliva is not infectious and actually acts to inhibit hiv infection.

Your mouth is a very inhospitible place for hiv and infection rarely occurs there.... even when semen is involved which we know carries high concentrations of the virus.

Again, you had no risk.

Sam,

Hiv is a very fragile virus that does not easily infect.  Any blood in her saliva would not remain viable.

Read the welcome thread to become familar with the REAL risks for hiv infection.

Sam,

Can I ask why you are using different usernames while posting to our forums? Thus far, you have also used jaison (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=1023.0)

Please realize that this kind of activity is disrespectful of other forum members, as well as our moderators. People spend a considerable amount of time helping others in these forums. Using multiple accounts is at the very least annoying, if not deceiving and disrespectful of others. It is also against our Terms of Membership (http://forums.poz.com/Terms.htm) which you agreed to when you became a member. This information is also contained within the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0), which you should have read by now. So really, you have no excuse.

You must realize that the answers won't change, no matter how many names you post under.

I would appreciate a reply to this message, and I hope you will commit to using just one account - preferably your original one. If not, you will be banned from further access to the forums.

Jaison,

Thank you for being honest. However, if you create a third account, you will be banned, no questions asked. I've disabled your "sam" account. Please continue to use "jaison" and please return to your original thread if you have further questions - I'm locking this one.
