Title: Wet Lapdance - HIV risks
Post by: mattm1025 on May 23, 2011, 04:32:29 am
Hi,
Recently I had lap dance at nearby club. I had my pants and underwear on. The dancer had panties on but topless. On the pants she once bit on my penis head - I never took my penis out of pants/underwear. Once she moved the panties to a side and showed me her vagina - dont know if she touched her vagina but later she touched her breast with same hands. Later at times she rubbed her breast and nipples on my lips, also twice lightly kissed on my lips. Later while she was grinding my penis with her vagina (she still had her panties and me my pants and underwear) I ejaculated. My underware and pants became wet and she countinued to grind her vagina on my wet area. I think she was also little wet - but not sure.

Now I'm pretty scared thinking if HIV virus could have come into my body since my semen and her fluids might have come in contact even though all clothes were on. Also my lips touched her breasts which may had her vaginal fluids - not sure. This was my first lap dance and never plan to do one again. Sorry for such a lengthy question, but please give me your medical opinion - is there any chance of me getting HIV virus? Do you recommend a HIV test?

Thanks,
Matt

At no time were you ever at risk of contracting HIV from a lapdance.

The only risk from your lapdance was to messing up your pants. There was absolutely no risk whatsoever sexually.

And for future reference, the ONLY confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected. Period.

Matt,

I agree with Rodney and Andy. You did not have a risk for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER A LAPDANCE, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks Ann.  :)

Sorry one question - Is it safe to assume that even if vaginal fluids of a HIV+ person comes in direct contact with penis, if this happens happens the body, the HIV risk involved is 0?

This was the only time I had such a exposure. So unless I get into any such risky situation again do you recommend a HIV/other STD test?

Thanks,
Matt

In the above question I ment - vaginal fluids coming in contact with penis head OUTSIDE the body.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

Vaginal fluids coming into contact with the penis outside the body is not a risk for hiv infection. That's exactly what we've been trying to tell you.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.
