Back from spending my last week of the season out on Fire Island. Rented a friend's house in the Pines. It's Horace Gifford's personal beach house for those who have an interest in architecture.

The weather was perfect. Clear skies every day, reasonable temps (never got above low eighties), a breeze that kept the flies off the beach, and the ocean was "warm." So got to swim some.

My friend Joe joined me for the week and brought out his cat Louie. Had a fine time with both. I kitty-sit for Joe when he needs to spend Xmas, etc. with family. Also will do it while he recoups from hip-replacement later this year. Love Louie. Love Joe too. He's one of my very best friends. Helps me cope with life. Seems to always know when something isn't right with me...even if I don't know it. Wouldn't trade him for the world.

So...it was a perfect week. I guess I'll just have to accept and deal with that.
Of course it's important. It's an email...

Love the hat...

Yeah, three doc visits the week of Labor Day. Stitches out of my jaw, cut the cancer out of the skin on my back, I think heart doc is Thursday morning, therapy Thursday night (but I like going to this). Maybe neurologist on Friday or is it orthodontist? Okay, more than three docs...after awhile I lose count. Have to wait till I'm back at the office to check my calendar.

Hope everything is going great for you...

OMG. so many doctor appts. I'd have to have one of those desktop-sized calendars to track all that. When you do have time to work?!? LOL

This weekend I'm using my season pass to visit Carowinds one more time as they end the Summer season. (Um, this is like the 34th or 35th time I've gone to the park since May) Of course, S'Carowinds (the Halloween-themed version of the park) opens next weekend - and my season pass is good then too. LOL

I like to think the Umbrella-Hat helped attract people to our National HIV testing Day back on June 27th  ;)  ;D

I wish I could get away. I went to Las Vegas, but to testify. Not a vacation. Where you went sounds so peaceful and nice.
I have been thinking of the beach ever since my sister told me they had some heat waves in California. It was 90 degrees at the beach. I miss the sand.
Glad you had a good time.
