there's a shaman, he makes a concoction

i'll need two chickens and a bottle of rum

thats just for my dinner

to kill zombies, you have to aim for the head, conserve ammunition, melee weapons preferred

don't you people watch walking dead?!?

Jeff G: I am the Electric Sheep, of London, UK's Mighty Metropolis... my pastures are the Aurora Borealis and my wool is space rays... also I was the invisible ninja presence behind Humpty-Dumpty's wall, browsing on grass all innocent-like... and people still think he just spontaneously 'had a great fall' pahaha

a charred zombie this thread may be from all the flaming, but there just wasn't another such thread on the forum. I thought that the sight of it would stir up old interest... starting a new thread or splitting off these posts into a new thread could maybe work better :o

as for living with hiv - me no. Although it has to be said, hiv/aids is more than a physical illness. even now the fear afflicts the hiv-negative also. Being a pharmacy/chemistry student I've always wanted to do something about it myself... until I started to realize that this research existed already. So now I just want to spread some'o this good news :D

Lorenzopier: I'm glad your liver is feeling happy! It sounds like a rough ride you had...
yess the phosphatidylcholine (lecithin) increases the bioavailability of silimarin for stronger immunomodulatory and hepatoprotective effects... although anyone taking protease inhibitors would need to increase their dose

Would you clarify please what claims you are making for milk thistle in day-to-day health of HIV+ people treated with ART?  Thank you.

mechh: look at Reply 97, it has everything in detail
for everyone else a summary:
Milkthistle slows glucose uptake and metabolism of T cells, putting them into a less activated state and slowing proliferation; and slowing proliferation directly by antagonizing NF-kB. This reduces the number of cells vulnerable to hiv, so hiv count drops. Because existing T-cells are less vulnerable, the 'CD4 count' actually rises.
(this is all achieved by very high systemic concentration of the active ingredients)

Ah yes -- because the snake oil salesmen are always NOT suffering from whatever ailment their "cure" is about..........   ::)
If you want to "do something about HIV/AIDS", then do it.  If milkthistle, of any of the myriad "cures" we see here were truly useful, we'd be seeing widespread usage.  You don't sound much like a scientist to me, if you think "all the research" for helping HIV/AIDS "already exists".
