-----------------------

Greetings from the Minnesota HIV Services Planning Council!

Thank you for your interest in completing the 2009 Comprehensive Needs Assessment of Minnesotans living with HIV disease. Every few years, the Council is responsible for assessing the service needs of people living with HIV disease in Minnesota. The survey should take you approximately 30-45 minutes based on your experience with Ryan White services and your individual needs. Your responses will never be reported individually and will always be treated confidentially. You will not be asked for your name or any other personally identifying information within the survey.

We do ask for some demographic information to make sure we are interviewing a reasonable cross-section of Minnesotans living with HIV disease. However, we do not ask for any information by which your responses might be identified.

As a way of expressing our gratitude for assisting us in this very important process that will influence the work we do over the next few years, you will receive a $10 gift card for completing the survey. When you have completed the survey, a redemption code will be displayed that will be required to receive your gift card.

There will be several options by which you can obtain your gift card. It is important that once you complete the survey, you print the gift card redemption code or have paper and a writing instrument to record your personal redemption code.

Finally, if you choose to do so, you may also donate your gift card back to the Planning Council. All donated cards will be divided among the participating agencies that host an ambassador or event to assist with the promotion of the needs assessment survey, thereby assisting other persons living with HIV disease.

One more word of caution: you will not be able to save any partial responses and return to the survey at a later date. So please make sure that you have ample time to complete the survey once you begin. Thanks again for participating in this very important process! Final results from the survey will be posted on the Council’s website which is located at www.mnhivplanningcouncil.org.

Vijnana, Please stop spamming the forum with this message. I've deleted two of your posts. One post in one forum is enough.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

she has posted the same thing two or three additional times (one of them in the LTS forum nonetheless). Guess your message was ignored.

What surprises me is that MN is just now getting to the Needs Assesment.  We finished it in the spring here in ARIZONA.  Hmmm.

The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

vijnana,

A support site indeed.  We also have spell check, so yes, we are all HERE for support, but we hear you are out of touch, so you are trying to make up for wasted time.

Listen, there are many of us here who could certainly teach you a thing or two about your job, but the message you deliver is that you already know everything, so why did you come here, to save your job and make things easy for yourself, or to really help out the clients in your area?   The membership of this site is in fact global, and there are so many people here that could be of some help and assistance to you, in that they even were helpful and active in creating The Ryan White CARE Act.  Yet you come to admonish.  I truly feel sorry for your client base because of your out of touch approach.

Shakes finger.

I appreciate your feedback and your willingness to help.
I welcome constructive criticism, though, you are quick to judge without knowing anything about me.
I am a PWA 19+ years and have been a long term Volunteer in my community
This past year is is when I started to get involved in the Politics of the Ryan White CARE Act.
I am working hard to educate myself in these new areas.   There is a lot to learn.

As far as the Survey, my community has been having trouble reaching our goal.
It was suggested that AIDSMEDS would be a good avenue to reach more people.
I did email on help with my posting, but I now realize, I should of done a better job on my homework.

MY GOAL here is to reach more people in my community.

In the future, I will strive to communicate clearly as to avoid these misunderstandings and assumptions.

My SMILE passes to you.  :)

I am confused, do you want people who don't live in your state to take the survey or not?  I started it but then thought maybe you don't want people from other areas so I stopped because I didnt want to screw up your data.

Also, the survery is REALLY long.  I think I was about 50 questions in and only about 25 percent done.  Maybe a disclaimer at the beginning regarding how long the survery will take would lead to better data.

Just my 2 cents.

Good Luck

Thank you for your input.

The subject states,  DO YOU LIVE IN MINNESOTA or PIERCE or ST. CROIX COUNTIES in Wisconsin?

The first sentence of the message reads,
Now is the time to make sure your voice is heard.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to tell us what you need and what problems you may have in accessing HIV services in Minnesota.

It also states, "The survey should take you approximately 30-45 minutes based on your experience"

In the future, I will make sure important information is better highlighted.

Have a fabulous day!   :)
