hallo, first sorry for my new username. I wanted to take my old username, but it dont go.("username not exist") Experts ,what is "immunosilent infection" and how often is it? I have severe symptoms and pain a long time, the bloodwork is bad! repeatedly elisa-tests hiv1/2 and some pcr-tests were neg. about 20 months. I know, the tests should be conclusively, but often I have read you need more tests when you have clinical signs of the infection. I am scared about "immunosilent infection". You know how often is "immunosilent infection"? And would a pcr-dna test detect such an infection? Please help, my life is hopeless! Thank you. Jogger ("dyno")

Jogger,

You used the username "dyno" in the old forum, where you first turned up in August 2004. I can't believe you're still doubting your negative results. You are absolutely, without doubt hiv negative.

You need to work with your doctor to get to the bottom of whatever ails you - we cannot help you with that here. You would also benefit by seeking the assistance of a mental health care professional to find out what is driving your hiv anxiety.

There is nothing more we can do for you here and under the circumstances of your extensive history of posting and not listing to a word we say, I'm going to warn you right now that you will be given a time out if you insist on using this forum in place of seeing a doctor and/or therapist face to face.

You are hiv negative. It's time to move on with your life.

I know I have the risk to exclude from this forum. But I post in my despairingly. My wish is to have one day without pain and any symptoms. Some doctors say it is unlikely to be infected with my testresults. Unlikely! Unlikely is not sure. Cases of immunosilent hiv infection were described. In the light of my severe symptoms and bad bloodwork it is not a help,when the doc told it is unlikely to be infected. What is the truth

Anne,Andy,Jonathan, you are experts, how often you have heard about immunosilent hiv,what is the probability to be such a case? Please say the truth! repeatedly cd4-tests in the future- is this the chance to know the truth? Sorry,a great sorry for my comeback with my problems.(and for the bad english)

dear friends ,please dont exclude me from this forum. my life is not better. the worst thing is the peripheral nerves pain every day. I had pills again pain. these pills did me no good. my doc. mean its a psychosomatic problem...In addition to my elisa-and pcr-tests I have done a pert assay -it was neg. Is it a good sign? Please understand, Iam AT A LOSS WHAT TO DO !!! Symptoms after a risk: a rash on the face(3 days after the risk), body pain,lymph pain. Symptoms since this time: pain in foots,hands,underarms,knees, groin, skin problems,bad bloodwork. I have pain every day!!! Not detect another maladie. All tests neg.(repeatedly elisa tests HIV1/2 about 20 months,repeatedly pcr-dna/rna-Tests for hiv1 and hiv2, a PERT-Assay,a viral culture) Iam not a nutcase.Iam tired of it. Hopeless! Jogger,

Symptoms, as you have been repeatedly told in both this forum and the old one, mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection. Only the tests can diagnose hiv and the test you have taken have ruled hiv OUT of your picture. You do NOT have hiv.

Ask your doctor for a referral to a mental health care professional. There is nothing more we can do for you here.

You are hopelessly HIV negative.

This is not the place for you to solve whatever is causing your symptoms.

You're asking us to help with a situation about which we are helpless to do anything further.

Along with seeing as many doctors as you need to, we also suggest that you see a mental specialist to get support to deal with your situation.
