Generic Sculptra

Has anyone had success with an imported and/or generic sculptra?

How well did it work?

Generic Sculptra or otherwise DO NOT use it!

Hi,
I've used Sculptra in the past and in my experience is a total waste of money.
Besides, I was left with fibrosis (excess tissue growth), under my skin which I can feel to the touch and also see when I look close in the mirror.
I decided to go for PMMA and I am much happier now, (I still have the fibrosis left from Sculptra though but thanks to the PMMA filling is less noticeable now)..
I am looking to go see Dr. Serra in Rio but don't know how to go about it. If any one has info on how to go about money changing, cheaper hotels, safety, getting from the airport to Dr. Serra...I would greatly appreciated it.
Feel free to contact me.

Thanks,
Jose

I don't know about generic sculptra but I had the original Sculptra done in 2005 and massaged the areas injected as instructed and had no problems with fibrosis.  Also I was told it would last maybe 2 years but it has been 10yrs without touch ups.  I would suggest using a highly trained physician I was lucky enough to have one.  I'm going to post his name and clinic (if this is not allowed I'm sorry)  Dr. Gold at Gold Skin Care in Nashville TN.

I too, have had Sculptra injections at Gold Skin Care in Nashville, and had great success with them. I am now needing follow up, but am unable to afford the cost for injections. I have even offered to be a "training" patient to get the injections that way, but, it is not working for now. If anyone knows of a way to get the cost covered by insurance send a reply please.
