Nick is Sick
« on: March 03, 2008, 11:44:57 am »
Hi all.

When he first posted I thought Pozniceguy was from France.  He came across as urbane, polished, sincere.  Everything you would expect from one of our long-term survivors.  And the fact that I looked at "nice" and pronounced it as "niece" didn't help either.  I met Pozniceguy (NICK) in San Francisco  last summer at the AMG.  I found out he is as American as apple pie but still all of the above (urbane......etc...)  He is truly a gentleman and one I proud to call a friend.

Anyway, he sent me a Pm the other day.  He was feeling kinda punk and went to the Dr's.  They diagnosed pneumonia and put him in the hospital.  For a long-term survivor, that is never a good diagnosis.

I'm sure he will be fine.   But keep the candles lit and think kind thoughts.

Nick, I hope you get out of the hospital very fast and don't feel sick any more.  Take all your medicine and if it's nasty, tell the nurses and doctors to put it in chocolate milk. And sleep, too. Mum says that when you sleep you heal better.  Bye!

I am Back!!!!!!!... I really appreciate  all the kind words and prayers.....being "old" "sick" and a pain in the ass can be a formula for a really miserable week in Hospital...sparing all the details ...... I am completely over the pneumonia..the other issues are going away rapidly and I will be old self again in a few days.....
Hardest part for me was the isolation.. I was in ICU...no visitors for several days then restricted access for the rest of the week.....they let me out yesterday ....
Thanks again to all of you.....
