Title: HIV infection by handjob?got blister!
Post by: Sfath on August 20, 2010, 11:45:56 am
Is it even slightly possibe to get HIVinfected recieving a handjob from a HIV positive woman? after the handjob i got a waterblister on my penis (Glans) and i am really worried!

Is it posible att all? i have read here that there is no chance, but am still worried to death. lets say she had blood or vaginalfluid on her hand, and "rubbed" it in, afterall, i did get a blister, so i guess it was a wound on my penis there during the handjob..

what if she also had chlamydia, is the risk still low to get HIV when it comes to handjob?

Should i worry?

Thanks for any answers

Sfath,

There is absolutely no way you would become infected with hiv through a NO RISK handjob, regardless of blisters or cuts or the presence of chlamydia. Not even if she had blood or vaginal fluids on her hands.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THIS HANDJOB, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Ok, that calm me down! am so worried about this!

But why isnt it any risk with handjobs? lets say (for the argument sake) she have bleeding wound on her hands, and there is a wound on the penis, i dont quite understund why this scenario is not considering any risk. doesent btw the hiv virus live outside the body for 7 minutes?

So as i understand, there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO change to get hiv from a handjob, nomather what?

Thanks again for your answer, really appriciate it.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

i have one more question, a general question.

If The girl have chlamydia or any other sexual disease and also have HIV, and the guy have no sexual disease, how much does the risk increase for the guy. is there any numbers on this?

But under no circumstance, the HIV can infect outside the body?

If you are wearing a condom, you are not at risk for HIV.

Ok. thanks!

But one more question:

If the condom is slipping of during withdrawal, and i try putting it back on, is that a risk for HIV infection? for the guy?

No.

It only matters if the condom slipped off during intercourse and left the head of your penis uncovered inside the vagina.
Title: Condom slipped off during analsex
Post by: Sfath on August 25, 2010, 10:37:33 am
Hello!

Here is the Story:

14 days ago i was in Spain on my holiday. was a little drunk and met a prostitute and desided to have sex with her. yeah, stupid, i know!!

Anyway, condom was used! Oral, vaginally and Anally. BUT. when doing anally (she was on top of me) the condom slipped off. am pretty sure it happend during withdrawal of my penis,(the sex stopped after this) but i cant fully remember. but if the case is that it slipped of inside, and my penis was in there for a few seconds unproteced, is there anything else than blood from her Anal that can infect me? i do not have any wound on my penis and its healthy. never had any sex before either, so no STD. am scared to death by this incident, especially when we both incisted to have safe sex, and this happends :(

and i do not know if she is positive or not. she incisted she was negative, but i cant offcourse thrust that.
it only lasted for a few minutes, and it was not rough att all, it was very gentle. the reason i is about to freak out is this article:

http://www.hivplusmag.com/Story.asp?id=432&categoryid=10&issue_emi=current&jt=0

it says rectal mucosa is containing much higher load of virus than even blood an semen? is this the case?

Am a nerve wreck, and it affect my social life and when am at work.. cant eat much and am waking up earlig in the morning felling anxious.

Dont remember seeing any blood or other body fluids.

am going for a HIV test, in 6 weeks.

am so scared  :(

First of all I have merged your threads. Please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread. Thanks for your cooperation.

Your risk in this latest incident was a low one. Until the condom slipped off you were protected. HIV is not an easy virus to transmit and it is significantly more difficult to transmit from female to male than the other way around. But since there is some doubt as to when the condom came off, it's a good idea to get tested, if only for your peace of mind about the issue.

As I think you are also aware, having casual sex when you have been drinking excessively is definitely not a good idea. It impairs your ability to make safer sex choices and should be avoided in the future.

I do expect you will come out of this ok. Assuming you get the negative at 6 weeks which I expect, you should still re-test at 13 weeks for a conclusive negative result. And as I said, I expect you will get negative results.

I totally agree, no more sex like this in the future. thats for sure!

I can only blame my self for this, but the anxiety is taking controll over me, and even if i want, i cant relax and think of something else. its horrible.

but back to the article i linked to, just for the peace of my mind, is it something in this? that rectal mucosa containing more virus than blood and semen?

Thanks again.

This is one study. And what the hell good are you doing surfing the net for this kind of stuff!!! None. All it does is fuel your worst fears so no wonder you're going nutz.

What you really need to do is to stop surfing the net, focus on other things in your life and then test and collect what I expect is going to be a negative test result.

Lay off the of the guesswork. It's bad for your health.

So. am back again, more worries. dont seem to get this out of my head.

Thanks to Andy, i was able to lay off google (Still no google, am posting here instead!), and think through my situation over again. i mean, i did use a condom, ok, the condom slipped off during anal sex, and as far as i remember, it fell off during withdrawal of my penis, but the fact that i cant fully remember is making me extremely nervous. but again, the analsex did not last long. some minutes, and it was very gentle. and besides, my penis is far from huge, i'll rather say small, so i really dont think i'll manage to get here sore. if that mather in any way.

I Did well until this Tuesday. it have been 3 weeks now. and then! i got a sore throat and some dry cough, (its getting better, but still some dry cough). i wake opp very cold becouse of the window on my bedroom was all up, and it was freezing outside, so most probably thats the reason, but of course, and you guessed right, my brain is linking this to a possible Primary HIV symptoms. i FULLY understand that symptoms cannot diagnose HIV, and sore throat and cough is not HIV. but i still have som general question about symptoms.

as i have understand, you either get really sick, high fever, body rash, very sore throut and generally you fell really bad, like a strong flu, OR you dont get any symptoms att all? is it possible to get mildly symptoms? like some sore throut or anything else? or just one of the symptoms? mild fever and nothing else? any reports on this?

And one question for my situation: has it ever been reported a case where condom slipp-off has caused HIV for a guy? have any of you heard of anything like this?

Dont know why am posting this, i know i should just wait for my test and go on with my life, but the anxiety wont let go. have never been so scared and nervous in my whole life. i HATE it!

Anyway, appriciate any answer!

I've never known of any confirmed cases of transmission happening when a condom slipped off during intercourse. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen. It's just very unlikely which is why you get tested as a precaution even when a negative result is expected.

It's worthless to discuss symptoms. Neither their presence nor absence will ever tell you anything accurately about your HIV status. It's all just guessing.

Your risk, if there was one, was very low. You need to give up this guessing and what iffing and get on with your life. At the end of all this I expect you to test negative.

One minute i feel relaxed, thinking that my risk was very low, if any att all, in the next minute the magical "what if" question is popping up in my head and the anxiety kick's in. anyway, am not gonna take this any further, many, many thanks for your answers!

I know i need to calm myself down, and stop thinking about this. but its not easy  :-\

Sfath,

Guess what, there simply are no "what if" issues when it comes to a handjob. There's no way on this earth you're going to end up with hiv because of a handjob. Get a grip already.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Ann,

Not worried about the handjob, but the condom slip-off. as i dont remember if it slipped of during withdrawal of my penis or if it slipped off inside her anal (but am pretty sure it slipped off during withdrawal). but anyway, i gonna take the test, and i also expect a negative result. :)

Sfath,

Look mate, if the condom had come off you before you finished and were withdrawing, you would have had to dig it out of her bottom. Condoms will slip off if you don't hold on to them after you come. It ain't rocket science.

You say you look for symptoms after every time you have sex. That's not normal and if I were you, I'd seek counselling to find out why you feel sex has to have health consequences even when you practice safer sex.

just for the record, it was a woman.  i remember the condom was partly hanging out off her ass and she had to take it out of her ass herself.
