Finding an HIV-knowledgeable doctor
« on: January 09, 2010, 12:36:01 pm »
Hi all,

This is my first post. My boyfriend was diagnosed with HIV about 6 months ago. I continue to test negative, and we've stopped having sex since (this is by no means a long-term situation, we will eventually begin to have protected sex when the time is right). Anyway, I am looking for a PCP (physician) as I've recently moved to CT, and I'd like it to be someone with knowledge about HIV - someone who is gay-friendly (my guess would be these go hand in hand). Does anyone know of a directory of health-care providers for those living with those living with HIV? :-)

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Dave

There are two organizations that have web sites where you can search by zip code for HIV doctors:

www.aahivm.org
www.hivma.org
