Morning all,

Netta, doesn't it get pretty hot in Atlanta?  I've never been there, so I don't know.  I would love to visit sometime though.  I've never been to any part of Georgia.  Every time I see one of your posts, I think of that song, "Georgia on My Mind."

Keeping, yeah, it's almost over.  Can you believe it?  I was telling someone last night that I'm not going to know what to do with no studying.  Only two more weeks, and that's it!!!  Congrats on your numbers.

Andrea, you guys are having spring break later than the schools here.  They're having it this week (schools other than the colleges, who've already had theirs).  I hope you're going to get some much needed rest.

Same ol', same ol' today.  Work, and a little homework.  Then tonight is class and if I'm not too tired, there's the HIV support group.  I was supposed to write down my story for them to put on a flyer, along with other people's.  But, I've just not been in the mood to do that.  Maybe I'll do it this afternoon.  My therapist is supposed to be over today also.  My car is in the shop.  It needs the clutch replaced and a few other things done on it.  They're supposed to be calling with an estimate on how much it will be.  I'm not real sure I want to know.        You all have a good day.

Good Morning, Ladies.   Not much going on.  Just kinda hanging around the house.                                                                                   Netta, I have never tries pigs feet but I have tried chitlins. Not to my taste.  As for your hubby, I understand craving food that is really good but maybe not the best for you.  Maybe he will give you a break from cooking that stuff . Hope you have a pretty Easter weekend.                                                                                              Keeping, you go girl. Great #'s. Keep up the good work cause you must be doing something right.                                                            Andrea, we are definitely looking forward to spring break. It starts Monday here in NC. I am not sure if we will do anything but I will be glad to have him home.                                                                             Betty, sorry about your car. I know I've got to get some work done to mine but it will wait until I get the backpay from SS.         Only 2 more weeks, WOOHOOO!!!!     You will find something to do since you will not be studying.                                                  Hope everyone else is doing well. I will do some housework today but not much else. I finally feel almost normal and not like I've been  beaten with a broom.   Next week I will be bored, this week I am taking it easy.   TTYL.   Cristy

Sorry, I haven't been commenting like usual but has been kind of busy lately. And it's a good feeling actually. The Djing is going fine, they are already talking about switching me to daytime. So maybe one day some of you can listen. I am not sure yet when this will take place but I will let you know.

My brother is leaving to go back to GA tomorrow. I saw him the other day and he told me that my sister, the one I don't get along with, has cancer. Now I know I should feel bad for her but I actually don't. The reason being she has done dirt to so many people, not saying she deserves it but as they say karma is a bitch. But on the other hand, I am not sure if I really believe it. She has pulled so many stunts, this could be another. But it is messed up when you can't take a person at face value or by what they say. According to my brother, she doesn't want us to know. She doesn't want me to know because of what she did by maliciously broadcasting my status to the world. And despite her having cancer if it is true, I can't forgive her for that nor will I forget.

Good news though, the poz guy that I was telling you guys about, finally got out of jail. He contacted me on the personals yesterday. And we have started talking again. His daughter had the baby last night too. She had a girl, she named her Haley. Still getting cryptic messages from Rey... ::) So, things are finally starting to look up for me.

Hey everyone. Well today officially began my Spring Break... ;D

Betty- I hope your car gets fixed soon. My spring break is kind of late this year but I prefer it this way. I don't have anything planned but relaxing

Cristy- I have housework! How are things going with Robert?

Keeping- I know how it is with the no posting. Most of the time I don't have a whole to say so I just say nothing LOL!

Netta- So, newlywed....things are going well?

Queen- I would REALLY love to hear you! I hope you get switched to days.

Well today I went to the dermatologist because I've had this irritation that is on my scalp towards the nape of my neck that has been hurting and itching like crazy. I have had it before and what happens is I start messing with it and it gets all gross...anyways the doctor said it was dermatitis and it was irritated so he gave me 3 shots in that area and a topical cream. Then I went to go get my blood work done...all this before 9:30am. Oh and I went to the post office to send in my signed tax return. That's all! I hope you all have a good weekend!!!

Hey everyone-

I have trying to keep up with everyone but haven't been responding...obviously :-\ Things have been going shitty. My grandmother went into hospice and passed early Tuesday morning.  I went to court last Friday for termination of visits for my son and that was a total clusterf$#k!! We have to go back to supervised visits.  He was a total ass in court because his wife was there to support me and he kept telling the judge we were ganging up on him.  When we go back, my mother told me she would get a lawyer for me.  He is such a smooth talker and a pathological liar, I don't stand an ice cubes chance in hell against him.  It just boggles my mind how much this guy gets away with and that is just with violence and abuse against women, never mind infecting them.  He targets young women or mothers and they  don't stand a chance.  I really wish my state had a law regarding hiv transmission.  I know the women has responsibility to protect themselves but what can you do when he slips off the condom.  He did that with me and his wife, to get us pregnant. Then on top of that, he doesn't tell anyone he is positive. I just worry about how many kids he is affecting by knowingly infecting all these women.  I feel saying fuck it and telling everyone everything.

Betty and Keeping- Congrats on finishing your classes, that is exciting, I am happy for you both.  Betty- is that $980 a month?

Mum- You know I have a gaggle of bi-racial kids.  I haven't experienced what you mentioned yet.  Is she having a problems with her teeth?

Queen- That is cool, that you are dj-ing.  Too bad about the no cussing, guess that means you can't play Too Short.  Glad your man is back out of jail, I hope things work out.  I like your new pic.

CJC- Congrats on the disability, that is so awesome!

Much love to everyone and anyone I forgot.

I was going to start a new thread but decided that it would take too long. Sorry. LOL

My son was over today with a friend of his. They worked in the back yard all afternoon transplanting grass from the garden area to some dirt that was placed by the back fence when we had the foundation repaired on the house. The garden area is being enlarged and the boys also relocated our palm tree into the garden. Looks pretty good so far. There are no flowers planted yet so its all dirt and mud but eventually it will be pretty.

Snow - I am sorry for your loss and I'm sorry to hear the court situation did not work out the way you wanted.

I like your photo too Michelle. You look sultry.

Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have a happy, healthy and safe weekend.

Evening all,

I waited until now to respond, since when I was on this morning, there were hardly any new postings.

Cristy, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now.  I think that takes rest for the body to get rid of the pain.  Ibuprofen might help as well.

Queen, if you switch to dj'ing during the day, let me know, and how to get to where it is you do it at.  I'm glad your positive man is out of the slammer.  And I know what you mean about maybe not believing your sister.  I hate it when someone lies all the time, to where you can't believe them.

Andrea, I hope that dermatitis clears up fast.  That's got to be really irritating.  What are you planning on doing during spring break?

Snow, yes, it's $980/month.  I'm really sorry about your gram.  I'm so glad she had Hospice, though; they're angels.  About SB, maybe you should let the judge know everything he's been doing.  Otherwise things may not change.  That'll be good if your mum gets you that lawyer.  Something really needs to be done about his ass.

Wendy, you'll have to post a picture of your lawn when the redecorating is done.

My car is going to cost around $2300 to fix.  Yeah, I said it right.  I about fainted when the garage called me and told me.  But, what can I do.  And I have the money right now, since I got a little refund from my school.  So, I told them to fix it.  I have a $10/day loaner from them right now so I can get around.

The only thing I have planned this weekend is homework.  Easter I might go to my best friend's mum's for dinner and my brother is supposed to come over so we can watch more of "The Wire."  It's getting down to the last episodes.  During last week's episode, Prop Joe got whacked, so I know it's getting closer to the end.  Anyway, I hope you all have a good day tomorrow.

Hey Folks---

Yeah, D has gotten out of jail and I can't stop smiling. We've been talking off and on all day. We still are trying to make plans to see each other. He wants me to fly to see him since it seems to be the quickest way. And since he knows I don't have money like that, he is willing to buy the ticket. So, we shall see.

You have my condolences, Snow. Oh, I can play cuss words. Just not the N word which is understandable but it made me realize just how many songs I have that does have the N word in it. I don't think Too Short, Bad Ways has the N word in it. I need to listen to it again. I am excited about being moved to days whenever it happens.

I guess I am up this late due to D-Jing the night before so I am watching Twilight. I also saw the new Xmen movie about Wolverine. You know the one that's not even out yet that got leaked on the internet. Very good movie. Well, I guess I will finish watching the movie...

Snow, sorry to hear about your Grammy and the visitation screw up.  It always seems the honest people can't catch a break and the shisters always get away with crap.  Sometimes I think the world is spinning backwards.

Mim's teeth look fine to me, but she has a dental appoitment on the 17th.  The smell is better with deoderant and powder.  I could understand if it was BO, but the smell is odd, near her neck and shoulders, and can still smell it when she steps out of the shower.  We see her specialist on Wed. and I'll mention it to him.

Queen, congrats on DJing.  Is it a paid job, or volunteer?  I'd love to hear you, too.  Hope you get on days.

Betty: 2 wks and counting down!  Bet you never thought you'd see the day.  It's almost here and I'm terribly excited for you.

Wendy, is the baby stil living with you and Billy? How's it working out?  You're talking about gardening and I'm still watching the swow melt :o  I'm still convinced that one day we'll have spring.

Mim's ENT didn't have very good news during our visit last week. He said the node on her left side is pretty big and he feels 3 more on her right side.  None of them were there at our last visit 3 wks ago.  He put her on meds to see if they would go down.  If not, she'll have to have them removed and biopsied to make sure they're not cancerous.  We go back to see her HIV-specilaist on Wed.  His office called twice last week to see if there was anything we needed before our visit.  My mind is still spinning from from it.  Then, I emailed him to tell what the ENT found and he emailed back!  I know some of you have docs who keep in touch, it's just not something we're used to.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weeekend.  Andrea, enjoy your week off. We've decided not to take a spring break.  The weather is nasty so we can't do anything anyway.  And, we can finish the year a week early if we don't. Of course come Monday morning, that all may change. ;D

Hey---

I see BT is on at the same time as me. She'll probably beat me posting... ;D I am posting here and chatting with D. So, I am going back and forth. Not much going on with me really. I have been watching movies and trying to be this Resident Evil 5 game. I almost got it beat too. It'll be a record, the quickest I ever beat a game and I have been playing for 2 weeks off and on. I going to get back on it a little later.

I took the car out, put gas in it, and vacuumed it out. It's a nice day, though a bit on the chilly side. But I didn't care, had my windows down bassing my music. The wind just blowing through my hair. I am also doing laundry and cooking dinner. Hot sausage with peppers, onion, garlic, over some rice. That's gonna be it for me. I am just going to play my game and chill.

Mum- Sorry to hear about the bumps in Mini's ear. I hope everything with that works out, poor Mini goes through a lot. Yet she remains strong and I love her personality from the posts she has written. I will keep you both in my prayers. My DJing is volunteered. But I have done it in the past here when I use to dj for a college station.

I think I need to run out and get some other thing for dinner. Have a good evening ladies..

Dinner sounds good, Queen.  Oh, the bumps are in her neck on her lymph nodes.  Attitude?  Heck yes she has an attitude!  She's funny but carries things a tad far at times and we have to wheel her in.  She called her ENT to "give him a piece of (her) mind" because the meds he prescribed for the lumps was liquid instead of pills.  She wanted to call and fuss, so I let her.  She's stuck with the liquid, but everytime she takes a dose, she raises the medicine cup and says "Here's to ya, Daniel."  Cracks me up!

I'm making another quart of yogurt to bring to my parents' house tomorrow for lunch.  I made one batch of strawberry, orange, banana and put it in the freezer.  This one is going to be pineapple, orange, banana. I'll freeze it overnight.  At least I can eat tropical even if the weather is more like the frozen tundra.

Have a great weekend!

Yikes on the car repair bill Betty. I can feel your pain there. We have sunk around 1500 into my car in repairs over the last few months and it isnt even working now. I have been borrowing Billy's SUV to get where I need to go when ever he isnt using it of course. I'm going to have to get a new one but it will have to wait because I cant afford to buy one.

Mum, my lymph glands are always large. I had one removed from my neck because it got so big you could see it. It was the size of a walnut. It was not cancerous thank goodness. But the surgery hurt like you would not believe. I hope it doesnt come down to your baby needing removal. Needle biopsies are not that bad. I'd do that first if there was a concern. I was thinking maybe she might have a fungal infection on her scalp. I read somewhere that hair care is more complicated for black people.

I had a wonderful day. I went downtown with Billy to the art museum. We had intended to see the King Tut exhibit but it was sooooo crowded and the lines where terrible. So we walked around there for a little bit and looked at the free stuff. Then we walked to a restaurant and had lunch and then took a ride on the trolley around the fancy area of downtown. We stopped and looked in an electronics store and spent the whole day enjoying each others company. Its been around 70 degrees outside so the weather was beautiful and it was just a nice date day. Its supposed to rain real good tonight. We will go see the exhibit during the week so we wont have to wait in line for hours and be crowded. I dont like crowds.

I hope you all have a lovely night.

Happy Easter everyone,

Queen, that hot sausage sounds good.

Mum, I'm sorry about Min's trouble with her nodes.  Mine get swollen off and on.  That's hilarious that she called to complain about her medication.  Give her a hug for me and Poppy.

Wendy, it sounds like you had a really nice day.  That's great, I'm sure you deserved it.  They had the King Tut exhibit in Chicago a couple years ago.  I bet that's going to be interesting.

Andrea, happy Easter.

I'm going to my best friend's mom's for dinner.  It's in another town, so it's a little traveling.  I was thinking about cancelling, but it's also my friend's daughter's birthday, and that would be rude if I did.  Besides, what else would I eat for dinner (hee)?  Then my brother's supposed to come over tonight so we can watch more of The Wire.  Best Buy had the whole first season of The Sopranos on sale last week for $27.00, so I bought it.  It's normally $50.00.  This week they have The Godfather on sale for $9.00, so I'll probably get that, if they don't run out.  I love mob movies when they're done well.  Other than that, I just have homework.  I hope you all have a great Easter! :-*
