Objective
Every year we come together to create a symbol of unity in the form of a t-shirt. This year, we hope to do the same and create another. This is an open call to everyone on the forums to grab your color palettes, in whatever form, and submit your design for this years T-Shirt. Please post ONLY your design below. Final day for submission is January 30, 2011.
Submitted designs not chosen for this years t-shirt may be used on other items such as this years AMG compilation cd.
Design Guidelines
Vector format is preferred. However, all formats are eligible to be submitted (paintings, graphics, etc.). Please limit your designs to 3 - 4 colors. There should be no fading or bleeding of colors.

Okay, I'm interested in throwing my hand in the design challenge, but I'm a little computer-dense here. What is vector format? Also, if we're feeling really inspired, can we submit more than one design?

Hi odyssey,
Don't worry about putting your design in vector format. And of course you may submit more than one design!

I'm still curious though, even if I don't have to put my design in vector format, can you explain what it is? I hate having an idea put in my head and not having an explanation, lol. Drives me nuts!

Interesting.... so can anyone recommend the best way to create my idea? I mean, not to come with an idea, which I already have, but rather to put it into some electronic format so as to submit it to the contest. I don't have Adobe Illustrator or anything fancy like that. Are there any free programs I could download and use? What about drawing in on paper and scanning it? What would be the best method? Thanks!

Nevermind... decided to go the vector graphics route and found some free software. I have my first design all ready, how do I upload it? Its in .svg format, but the program also allows for export in bitmap format.

Awww, thanks Jan! I was going to try and include in the pic you and Wumpster bungee jumping off the Space Needle, but I realized I kind of wanted to stay abstract, that and I couldn't get that much detail in, lol.

Odyssey - I love it
I like how it not only incorporates the site (Seattle) but "brings back" the red ribbon.
I would vote for this design in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the feedback. I felt that including the red ribbon and the color red in general was a great way to focus on our battles to remember what we are collectively struggling against; HIV/AIDS. And to remember all those we have lost, and those who have come before us. I tried to keep my design simple, yet symbolic. Hopefully I managed to achieve that! Glad to know you like it phil!

Should anyone even try another idea. It is exactly what I had in mind the t-shirt should look like. Well done!

Well, I was planning on entering a few designs myself, but honestly I'm having trouble thinking of anything else. I mean, not to toot my own horn or anything, but how can I possible out-do myself on this one? I'm not that creative! LOL

Why oh why would you want to bring back the horrors of that day.

I wasn't there, remember. I just heard it being discussed here on the forums and thought it'd make an amusing addition to the shirt. But alas, too small. You'd be a wee willy. :P

Odyssey, the old expression that sometimes the first choice is the best is most relevant here I think. Your design is simple, lovely and perfect I would say as well.
Well done friend!
Jody :)

Thanks Jody! I'm pretty sure you are right. I think my moment of brilliance has come, been expressed and shared, and gone. It happens like that sometimes. I'm just glad I finally got all the computer issues worked out so I could share my creative expression with everyone!

Odyssey I had forgotten about this thread with all that's going on at work right now, but at the time I first read it I put a little thought in the back of my mind that I needed to come up with a design. Now that I've gotten around to checking back in, I don't think I need to even try. Love your design, just love it. Well, I might try, if we get to do a backside design this year!!

Was the order info listed? I couldn't find it and would like to have one in time for AMG if possible.
