Jul. 13 - FDA approves the first-ever once-daily pill for fighting HIV/AIDS.
The new pill works by blocking an enzyme the human immunodeficiency virus needs to replicate. Atripla combines Bristol-Myers Squibb Company's drug Sustiva and Gilead Incorporated's medicines Viread and Emtriva.
