Made it home..Finally
« on: September 24, 2007, 04:58:10 am »
Hi

Yes I finally made it home...5 hours late, my flight in LA was delayed so I missed my two connecting flights in NZ..I'm just so tired right now, I have so much to say but can only manage a short post for now.

I want to thank you all for making this years AMG so enjoyable for me, seeing all my old friends again was wonderful, and seeing so many new faces was a bonus, you are all an amazing bunch of guys.

I would love to thank each and everyone of you but if I start naming names I know I will miss someone out, so I will just say it was a pleasure meeting you all, I only wish I could have spent more time with each and every one of you.

However, there are two names I would like to metion, because I think deserve a mention, the first one is Dennis who I could never thank enough for all he did for us and for making the AMG such an amazing experience for us all...thank you Dennis from the bottom of my heart for everything, you went above and beyond your role as AMG coordinator.

The other is ALLAN..thank you for picking me up at the airport and showing me your beautiful city, thank you for organizing the walk that many of us enjoyed and for all the running around you did for us...I hope I didn't wear you out too much.. ;)

Thank you all for attending the memorial service..I couldn't have done it without you.

Also a  special thank you to my Las Vegas buddies for making a dream come true.

With love and hugs to you all
Jan :-*

P.S..I won $250 in Vegas..it helped to pay for my duty free... ;)

Glad you made it home safely, honey.   Seeing you was the best part of the trip for me.   It's always so hard for me to say goodbye.

Thanks for everything, the Memorial Service was beautiful and very touching.
It was great being outdoors this year, wasn't it?   I loved it.

Glad you won some $$ in Vegas!  That's great!

Love always,

Alan

Jan,

I have been waiting to hear that you made it home safely!  Even better to hear that you left Vegas a winner.... the slogan there is "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" and usually that means money!  I trust you had a good time there...it is one of my favorite places to visit (grown up Disneyland.)  I am so thankful for your efforts for our AMG this year...get some much needed rest and looking forward to reuniting again next year.

Dear Jan,

It was two weeks ago today that I first met you at the San Francisco airport. We almost missed each other--I didn't see you exiting from customs, and you were looking for someone with a blue baseball cap instead of a blue shirt.

How can I ever express how much I enjoyed the time I spent with you! I got to see first hand why you are such a beloved member of these forums. Your kindness and generosity overwhelmed me.

My life is usually kind of humdrum and boring. I live alone and although I have some very fine friends here in the Bay Area, I spend most of my time by myself. It was such an enormous pleasure for me to be out and about doing things with you and all the other dear people I met at AMG.

You go through a great deal to attend these AMG's. I'm speaking not just of the huge amount of travel time, but also of the stress of entering a country with a policy that specifically excludes people with HIV.

I'm glad you're home safe and sound, but I really do miss you.

Love,
Allan

Hey Jan,

I'm glad you made it home safe and sound, if a bit weary.

I was flat exhausted when I finally made it home, so I know how you must be feeling.

It was such a delight seeing you again, as well as those two wild Aussies from Perth.

Rest up, my dear, and enjoy your spring.

HUGS,

Mark

Glad your home ok Jan.  Thank you for the Memorial service as well I'm normally not too comfortable with events like that but it was perfect.  It's going to be one of my lasting memories of AMG this year that's for sure.

Jan,

I'd like to take a moment to thank you for all you did to make this year's AMG a reality.  The memorial service touched me very deeply.  I'm happy to have had the opportunity to finally meet you in person.

Hugs,

Henry
