Help to Continue Aids Retreats
« on: October 27, 2006, 09:49:14 am »
Here in Arkansas we used to have a program for the AIDS retreats which was called: RAIN it has folded.  Then years latter we got Positive Voices, it folded, then Positive Spirits, it folded.

We had ran the last couple of Aids retreats independently as we aren't a non-profit organization.  It is hard to get donations without it the person who was running said., which he just quit running the retreats.

The AIDS retreats are very much needed here in Arkansas.  For some it is there only means of support.
We have been holding our retreats at Subiacco Accademy in Clarksville, AR.

Now the problem is I want the retreats to continue to help out all the others along with I enjoy them alot myself.   I need to find a way to get some funding so we may continue to have the retreats as the retreats are $10,000. Which covers all meals and our stay there at Subiacco for 3 nights.
We bring our own snacks and drinks

Anyone has any suggestions which could help out I would greatly appreciate it alot.

Are there any AIDS service organizations in your area or others who might be interested?

If organizations that have focused on having retreats have consistently folded, maybe there is some other kind of service which is needed which could evoke a better and more supportive response? What other needs are there?
