Hi & Question about Humana Insurance

Hi Forum,

You don't know me, but I feel that I know so many of you through your posts.  I have been lurking in this forum since April, when my husband found out that he was positive. (I tested negative)  You guys don't know what a difference you make even to people who aren't actively posting.  Your posts give information, support, shared anger, shared sadness, at times shared happiness and hope.  I was furious when Matty was attacked and then recently, cried at the loss of Christine.  I decided it was about time I posted as you guys have been so supportive to me in some really tough times yet I had never even introduced myself.  I probably won't be an extremely active poster but I am definitely here and thinking of you all. 

My question is, how is Humana PPO?  Seems like we pay a ton of money for it and it rarely pays for anything.  My husband is not yet on any type of meds and we are curious about its coverage relating to HIV.

I have Humana PPO that I only pay $20/month for, employer picks up the rest.  I have no major complaints regarding benefits I have recieved for HIV treatment.  I pay a $20 co-pay for each doctor's visit and meds are class B, $35 copay, everything else is covered.  I am sure there are better plans and many that are far worse.

I too have Humana PPO and have had excellent coverage.  $20 copay for office visit...some prescriptions are $15 for 30 days, others are $30 for 30 days.  All labs are completely covered.  All of the good local ID doctors were on their PPO...so I would have to say that I have been very happy with my employer provided Humana PPO coverage.

I am so glad to hear, thanks!!  Makes me feel that we aren't throwing all that money away each month for nothing!
