can i change the time of taking my combo
« on: July 11, 2011, 01:13:49 am »

I am on ( Combivir and Kaletra ) since two months ,  I take 1 pill of Combivir at 7:30 am and 2 pills of Kaletra at 9:30 am, and 1 pill of Combivir at 7:00 pm and 2 pill of Kaletra at 9:30 pm

Its bothering me to take my combo in many times daily,  can I change the time of taking my combo to be 3 pills at 7:30 am ( 1 pill of Combovir and 2 pills of Kaletra)  and the other 3 pills at 7:30 pm ( 1 pill of Combovir and 2 pills of Kaletra)  ? in this case ( changing the time of taking my combo) will make drug resistance ?

You can take them in one go morning then evening. Kaletra really needs some food with it. Resistance comes from not taking the medicines regularly, changing the timing will not lead to resistance. This link has tips on nausea which may help.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
