Paint question

My apartment has been painted and looks great.  But on one wall where I did my test samples....I see those colors "bleeding" through in one big section.

My question is, if I repaint that section (the color is Mountain Moss by Benjamin Moore)...would it blend in with the rest of the wall that is painted Mountain Moss? Or would that patch stand out since it was painted over a week after the rest of the wall?

Does the entire wall have to be painted at the same time? If 2 weeks later I paint a patch of the wall, but the SAME color, will it blend?  HELP!!!

If you cover it heavily enough with another coat of Mountain Moss it will eventually cover it. In the future you need to use a primer (Kilz) before you paint so that you don't have a bleed through.

Hi Jeff,

Your easiest way out of this would be to patch-paint with your moss colour over the sample areas and when that's dry, give the whole wall a coat again.

Next time you re-paint, do the patch-painting (one or two coats) in the colour you've decided on over your sample patches BEFORE you paint the entire wall. Another tip where your sample painting is concerned is to do your test areas closer to the floor - where they're less likely to be caught in the light and show up after.
