That "white pus" you speak of probably isn't actually pus - it's more likely just ordinary mucus. When you cough up yellow and/or green gunk, that's when you're coughing up pus.

When you say your doctors don't "see" anything, how do you mean? Have you had a chest x-ray? If not, you might want to ask your doctor why not.

Do you smoke?

Do you have allergies? Please keep in mind that if you never had allergies in the past, it doesn't necessarily mean that you haven't developed them now.

One more question - you mentioned feeling better after a few days of antibiotics. Are you finishing the whole script, or are do you stop taking the antibiotics when you feel better?

It would seem kinda obvious that if your increased respiratory mucus production only occurs after weekend cocaine binges, that the two are connected.

Have you been honest with your doctors that this problem is occurring after binges?

You say you don't snort, so is injecting or booty-bumping (inserting it into your anus) your preferred method of delivery? (Or free-basing - does anyone even do that any more since crack was invented?)

If you're injecting, I hope you're being vigilant about not sharing any injecting equipment. The last thing you need is hep C.
