Will a "nuke-u-lar" attack be as bad?
« on: January 28, 2007, 08:30:50 pm »
On 60 minutes tonight Andy Rooney was talking about presidential speeches and mentioned President Bush using the term "nuke-u-lar" instead of nuclear and I couldn't help but think- Would a "nuke-u-lar" attack be less harmful than a more traditional nuclear one?  I mean if it's that funny to hear than maybe if someone, somewhere does successfully push the big button and we go up as one big mushroom would it feel a little less painful if the attack is "nuke-u-lar"?

One can only hope so  ;D

Instead of a mushroom cloud do we get one shaped like a pickup truck?

I won't be around to tell you. I don't live that far away from Wright Patterson AFB and I'm sure that will be on any nations  target site that has a nuke. I know if the US would let their Nukes fly, the map drawers will be kept busy for some time to come.

I'm iin the same boat as Rod, Kirtland AFB is approximately 1/2 mile from my place. But I wonder though, will the nuke-U-lar mushroom cloud at least be hallucinogenic? I'd dearly love one last trip before I go...
