Title: Bucket list of things to do if I get seriously ill
Post by: Tool man on September 25, 2013, 05:52:13 pm
Last week we were all shocked when herd of elephants was killed by someone poisoning them and asked how could this get worse. Saturday on CBS sports they showed a lobbyist shooting an elephant in the face for fun and then drinking champagne afterward...... This is what the ultra rich do for fun.

When I am down to my last few T cells, I hope to go visit this man!
Elephants mourn their dead, but I would shed no tears for this person.

Veal/cattle are very stupid, but elephants are very intelligent.
I have participated in killing cattle and MANY chickens.
Cattle are eaten, but elephants are used for their skin and ivory......

I have not clicked on the video as I cannot look upon it myself, but read it.
We have 4 rescue dogs and 4 rescue cats. Tomorrow we pick up another dog who was scheduled to be euthanized today as her family moved and dumped her.
You do what you can.

Donald Trump's son did it and pose with the butchered tail of the elephant.  I seem to remember it barely got much news.  There was no call to boycott Trump's company and his show--the son is part of both.  I don't remember seeing Donald asked about his thoughts, on his many media appearances.

I knew I didn't like the Trump family, and that photo explained everything.  Elephants do mourn their family.  I do not understand it.  It is obviously another way for powerful people to feel more control.

It is a despicable cowardly act . I have never understood what people get out of killing animals they don't intend to eat , very strange primal thing to do .

I won't watch the video, I hate the thought of something like that happening, I love Elephants, if fact I love all animals, to abuse them is beyond me.

Toolman..give me a shout when you are ready and I will help you slaughter this idiot.

In sadness

Well,
shame on Botswana for being tardy to ban this sort of hunting...
shame on the global economy for putting the pinch on such nations who don't have the resources or reliable law/enforcement and justice systems to protect their fauna and flora.
tangentially, shame on the USA where crazy people are still getting guns and committing mass murders of HUMANS, and then there are no gun restrictions and the pro-gun lobby says the problem is crazy humans, only, and not enough mental health care....

Since humans are by nature, herbivores, many don't understand killing animals for any reason.   ;)

I don't think humans are by nature herbivores ... not at all . I do think that's a myth perpetrated by vegetarians though .

Human's brain size relative to other primates is definitely due to eating meat. Not just eating it, but being able to hunt for much larger game and do it in groups that needed to communicate with each other.

Don't you queens watch Discovery?
