Author Topic: Lisa just had a terrible tragedy in her family. Pray for her please. (Read 13123 times)

I just got terrible news from Lisa.

Lisa's daughter in law, Serenity's mother,and the the wife of Lisa's son ,committed suicide this morning.
She passed on an hour ago.

Lisa is in shock. Please keep her and her family in your prayers and thoughts.

She will not be online the next days.

This is a tragedy and Lia will need all the support she can get form her Aidsmeds family and friends.

Dear Lisa,
I have just heard that my aunt has passed away.
She was 33 and the mother of a new born.
we learned that she was cancer 5 days ago. and it was all around her body.
she died today.
i cant go to my country right at the moment. but whole my family is there to support eachother.
I hope you also have such a support.
the ones who are left behind is what makes everything durable now.
i wish you strength.
and I feel for you.

I would like to thank all of you for your kind words. I pulled up this thread, and let Michael read it. He wants me tell you all how much you have moved him.
The saddest part of this is, that Serenity is only three, and understands that something terrible has happened, but cannot fathom the true finality of it all.
We can't even allow her to see mom, because of the damage done.
No three year old should have to ask if mommy is dead.
Your generous outpouring of concern has been a mantle for me.

Dear Lisa,

I too am a suicide survivor. My wife Terry took her own life October 24th, 2006. It is a unique grieving experience we share. Two books that have helped me beyond compare are;

No Time To Say Goodbye
&
Ray Of Hope, a Suicide Survivors Guide.

The first is a gentle and comforting story of the authors passage following the death of her own husband.

The second also chronicles the authors passage through the grieving process, but is a bit more in depth regarding how to get through it all. Excellent passages regarding guilt are written in this book.

For me, when paired they have been a lifesaver.

My heart goes out to Lisa. I know how unimaginably difficult it is for you. For me, at times, the grief approaches agony. My earnest and heartfelt prayers are for you and all your family. When you are able I would love to speak and share with you. Mostly I want to be here for you and just listen. Be gentle with yourself, don't doubt your emotions, by all means reach out, and know that you are not alone.

My heart is with your Lisa. Survivorship is an immense burden.
