No. You are at no risk from this incident. All sexually active adults should have an annual STD screen and checkup, however.

thank you for the prompt response.

i wore a condom, but i can't help obsess over the scenario of what would have happened if i had a 5 second insertion without one .. would you recommend a test then? i read on the web that the odds are
1 in 10,000 that penetrative sex with a woman already infected with hiv will result in transmission - is that correct?

But you didn't have any unprotected sex. You stated you used a condom.

Joplin,

With all due respect, it is silly. Statistics are meaningless in individual cases. Always wear a condom when engaging in vaginal and/or anal intercourse. Control what you can and don't obsess over hypotheticals....

A couple of additional things, Joplin:

Do NOT wear two condoms. Rather than giving you added protection, doing that can actually result in causing them to tear. That didn't happen in your incident or you would have seen it. When a condom goes it ends up like a fringed hula hoop on your penis. A single latex condom will provide you with the necessary protection.

Secondly, mxing casual/impulsive sex with excessive drinking is very, very dangerous. Fortunately this time you made it ok, but it is something to avoid in the future. Have all the protected intercourse you want to with anyone, regardless of their HIV status. Condoms do the job. But do it soberly enough so that you can take proper precautions.

This time I don't see any cause for further concern.

Cheers.

Fortunately feelings aren't facts. And the facts of the situation indicate that you were not at risk during this incident.

last question: the lady fingered herself (insertively) a lot and then used her own hands to put the condom(s) on me. was that dangerous for stds/hiv?

thanks in advance for your reply.

just to clarify - sorry to be tedious - i understand the no risk scenario for hiv, but in your opinion is this a no risk situation for stds as well? i will get a full screen, but i ask the question for reassurance. also, any guidance how much time i should wait for?

joplin,

Hiv and syphilis share a three month window period. Most of the other STIs can be tested for at ten to fourteen days following an encounter, or sooner if you develop sores on your genitals or a discharge from your penis.

However, it is highly unlikely you've been infected with anything during this encounter, and definitely not hiv. That's what condoms are for - to protect your sexual health.
