Request for good local Phamacies - MD MoCo?
« on: August 18, 2012, 01:22:28 pm »
Hi all

I just got on MADAP after not having insurance for awhile. Am starting on an antiviral meds regimen again. i have a new prescription.  I can use any pharmacy or pharmacy chain, but I had horrible experiences with Giant and CVS in the past (getting meds/refills on time, not getting them all at once, lack of privacy concerns by pharmacists, etc.). I don't want to use either one of those again.

Any suggestions on independent pharmacies in Montg. county who always have the meds/refills on time right after they are called in and who are used to dealing with MADAP?

I used to use Langley Park Pharmacy, but I now live in the Rockville area and would rather use one closer.  Any suggestions on specific pharmacies that you have had good luck with, or a link to a directory of some kind would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You should call your insurance plan directly and ask for a list of pharmacies that accept the plan..then cross reference their list with internet user reviews.  this can help u narrow down pharmacies.  If there are any ASO's in your area they should be able to direct you in the right direction as well
