Post by: BT65 on September 04, 2011, 05:02:05 am: Good news Sea. I know a few people who started the treatment and didn't finish it because of the side effects. And my best friend was diagnosed with Hep C back in the late 80's, and may have cleared it on her own. Anyway, that's great to hear!

I remember in my first year post-treatment, they tested me at one month, three months, six months, and then at one year. Now they test me every year or two and I've remained UD for nearly ten years now. They reckon if you're still UD six months post treatment, you've definitely have had a sustained response. Even so, good doctor will still continue to test you periodically - a case of better safe than sorry.

Here's to your sustained response! I'm glad you stuck with it and I bet you are too.
