Guest room
« on: April 13, 2008, 04:02:36 pm »

Today i bit the bullet and cleared out what had become the junk room.

I had bought a switchback sofa a couple of weeks ago. its like the old studio sofa , it lays flat like a bed also. no mattress just nice and firm. it will also tilt up on one end and turn into a chase lounger as well.
Darn thing is too cool. ;)

I cleaned out the junk room and it is now a music/ t.v. room/ Guest room.
Complete with couch, chair and desk, stereo, t.v.
Click the couch down and you have a bed to crash on.
click it up to a Chase lounge and watch the tube.
I put a book in there for me to chill out and read tonight.
The room looks real nice, i did vacuum and dust.
Now i am going to take a shelf down to put in the music room, and i have this 6 foot long wood shelf
that will look great over the couch.
Soon after painting some rooms  a bench will go out of the room and i will put a amp in its place, maybe a couple of gee~tars to go with the amp :D

Truth be told i now have another little hidaway in the house.
It was a lot of work, but well worth it, and i am proud of the job i did.
( Just not good at this type of thing)

Sounds like you got a Futon?  They are NICE on the back when you click them down into a bed.

Have fun jamming.

You dust and clean?  I have a few rooms here that could use your expertise...... :P

Hey Lucas,

You really ARE livin Large!  A house with a "junk room" on the Russian River would be a duplex  ;D  It took me 20 years to "come out of the closet" and now I live in one  ;D  My house is really one of the few on the river which has a closet as it was a vacation cabin and the bedroom was an add on with a closet as an afterthought.  However, I have lived here for three years and never met the landlord so there advantages.  They have never raised the rent either  ;D  Have the best day
Michael

Its a little different than a futon.

The hardest part of the job was making room to store all the stuff that was in the room.
had to reorganize two closets before i could do the room ;) but it all worked out well.
i didn't want to do anything yesterday but forced myself to get going on it. I'm glad its done, better than sitting around in a funk all day. one big project out of the way :D

Didn't get to chill and read as i went out to find a couple of shirts, and made dinner.
Tried something new for dinner that worked out good ( my son liked it).
Found some shirts i liked on SALE! gotta love that. two button downs and a pull over type polo shirt.
