Nervous CSW experience HELP PLZ
« on: April 08, 2009, 08:37:33 am »
Hey guys i know you been answering these similar questions before but i guess i just need the reassurance while waiting for my 3 months conclusive test.

5 weeks back i engaged in protected virginal sex and protected blow-job with a csw. I also had a handjob, around 20 secs open mouth kissing "tongue action" and maybe saliva. I also went down on her for around 2 mins or less, not sure if i tasted her fluid she was dry i think but i mainly focused on her clitoris.

What scares me most is the cunnilingus and kissing. I also ate an hour before hand and after the event wash my mouth with water an hour later and brushed my teeth. No symptoms so far i even have my appetite.

Can you guys tell me my risks, hoping that its no risk!!! the 3 month waiting period is driving me insane can't study or focus anymore!!! I am so feeling so stupidddd.  :-[

I was thinking of doing the 6 week test but chickened out i think i can only muster up the courage for one test that's why i waiting in anxiety for 3 months.

Sunny,

You don't have to wait three months to conclusively discover your hiv status, as NOTHING you did with the sex worker was a risk for hiv infection.

Protected intercourse is just that - protected. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection.

Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Neither is cunnilingus, in either direction.

Kissing is also not a risk for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect (and this is one of the things that makes blowjobs and cunnilingus NO RISK).

NONE of the activities you list are risky for hiv, no matter what spin you can think of to put on them.

Along with reading the Transmission Lesson linked to in our Welcome Thread, here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Keep using those condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse - with ANYONE, not just sex workers - correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Ann i think i had a dry mouth at that time would the amount of saliva still be adequate? would there even be saliva in a dry mouth? also does having chapped lips change your verdict?

Sunny,

Hiv transmission doesn't stand a chance of happening via female genitals to mouth - there are just too many obstacles on the oral route.

The first obstacle is the mouth itself. The mouth is a veritable fortress, standing against all sorts of pathogens we come into contact with every minute of our lives. It's a very hostile environment and saliva has been shown to contain over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv.

Hiv is a very fragile virus - literally. Its outer surface doesn't take kindly to changes in its preferred environment; slight changes in temperature, moisture content and pH levels all damage the outer surface. Importantly, it needs this outer surface to be intact before it can latch onto a few, very specific cell types and infect.

Which leads to the second obstacle. Hiv can only latch onto certain types of cells, cells which are not found in abundance in the mouth.

The third obstacle to transmission this way is having hiv present in the first place. The female secretion where hiv has been shown to be present is the cervicovaginal fluid. This fluid is actually a thick mucus that covers and protects the cervix.

The fluid a woman produces when sexually excited comes from glands located on either side of the vaginal opening. I have yet to discover one shred of evidence (and believe me, I've looked) that shows this lubricating fluid to have any more hiv present than other bodily secretions such as saliva, sweat or tears. Saliva, sweat and tears are NOT infectious fluids.

So there you have it. Once the results of the serodiscordant studies* started rolling in, what we know about hiv transmission on the cellular level was validated. The only people who were getting infected were those who had unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Period. One of the three studies went on for ten years and involved hundreds of couples. That's a lot of nookie.

*There have been long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv.  Not one!!!

Once again, NOTHING you did with the sex worker was a risk for hiv infection - no matter what sort of details (spin) you can think of to add to the situation. NO RISK!

Sorry Ann but i just remembered that when the csw took the condom off her hands touched the condom and she started to give me a handjob with bare foreskin. Then she went to answer the door, then came back and helped me pull my foreskin back!!! Is this a risk!!! because the condom would of been exposed to her cervix fluids  :-[

plz can you tell me when i pull my protected penis out of her vagina that any HIV in the fluid on the condom would of died instantly since it is exposed to air that would calm me down heaps!!! or would take like minutes or hours to dry and die???
i am scared of the chance that fluid might of came into contact with my foreskin when she rolled it back and uretha opening

Sunny,

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Once hiv is outside the body, small changes in temperature, pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

You did NOT have a risk in ANYTHING that you did or was done to you during your encounter with the sex worker. NO RISK!

Re-read your entire thread - our answers are not going to change no matter what sort of spin you can think of to put on it. You used a condom for intercourse and that's what's important.

hey guys i think it might be just my paranoia but if you receive a protected blow.job and then do protected vaginal sex with the same condom. Would the condom be damage by teeth and cause nips or tear without you noticing?
I ask this because i remember the csw using lube when she put the condom  on me but didn't check the condom afterwards. Now i scared that the integrity of the condom might be damaged and i didn't notice.

how is lube used? do you just squeeze it on the condom or do they just put it into there vagina? cause i remember her squeezing something like lube but didn't see where she put it??

Sunny,

If you're finding it difficult to "cope with all this" NO RISK incident, then perhaps it's time you found yourself some counseling. We're not a mental health unit here, all we do here is give risk assessments and testing advice.

Our risk assessment of your situation is that there was no risk and our testing advice is that you don't need to test over this incident. You can test for peace of mind if you feel you must, but you cannot use this forum to fret about the result while you wait. Unless you've been having UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal intercourse you neglected to tell us about, then your results are sure to be NEGATIVE.

Ann

PS - don't bother going on about "damage by teeth" - sex workers use condoms to protect THEMSELVES, not you. She's not going to use a condom vaginally that she may have damaged during the blowjob. Remember, the condom was right in her face and she'd know its condition.

And another thing - you ask how to use lube. If you'd bothered yourself with reading the condom and lube links in my signature line like I asked you to previously, you wouldn't have to ask that question.

Keep posting about this no risk incident and you'll be timed out. Please consider yourself warned.

Had you had a risk a 3 month test is conclusive even in Australia.

Test results are usually available within seven days. If the test detects no HIV antibodies, the person is said to be HIV negative (sometimes the term antibody-negative is used). However the body sometimes takes up to three months to produce antibodies after infection occurs, so a repeat test may be necessary, depending on how recently the possible exposure to HIV took place.

Sunny,

It doesn't matter WHO you have intercourse with or what they do for a living. You need to be using condoms regardless. That's the only way, sexually speaking, to remain hiv negative.

You didn't have a risk and you don't need further testing. You ARE hiv negative. Protect your negative hiv status by ALWAYS using a condom, even if you're shagging the girl-next-door. Got it? Good.
