Title: will i get any infection
Post by: shawn on April 25, 2012, 04:05:08 pm
I have met 3 female escorts in uk, and  had sex with them, I had frenchkissing with all. but protected anal and vaginal sex with condom.
THE ORAL BOTH WAYS has been done and it wasn't with any condom, definitely, i had swallowed my saliva when doing the orals with each of them, it only happened a month ago, all these meetings. with one escort the very first time when i did , i even did a rimming to her with out any protection. just after 1 day i had cough with lasted for 3 week and never, something affected me for this long.
could anyone who really have deep knowledge about the subject advise me, any problems for me. i have seen the post here in the forum that someone depicted the doctors post and telling, its really no risk
i have seen in many other searches that nurse advisers for hiv and other parties have said about the priority of using condom in orals as there is a low risk.
is there really a risk to me, if any of them were infected.
last think, vaginal and anal has done (anal less than a minute or some seconds, just with one only, as i was curious) with condom and orals with out

As far as HIV is concerned there is nothing to be concerned about. You used condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse which is exactly right and very effective. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse.

Other STDs are much easier to acquire so we do advise anyone who is sexually active to at least annually have a full STD panel done.

But this time you have no cause for concern about HIV. Nor any need for HIV testing.

helo, andy i was waiting for yor reply only,
i want ask if any of those escorts were hiv + then, same again, i only did with condom, all except cunnilingus  and giving oral too, i did a rimming to one of them too without,

i definitely had swallowed the my saliva, and if she had orgasm in between(one of them said it too) then is there any chance. i really don't know what to test and what no to

some of the counsellor nurses advise that do use condom for all no matter what, i was actually virgin, just before a month, then only i started that. why they state so. is there any official site so that i can check. i believe you even though its for my mental peace.
afetr i had cough which was never stopping, its still with me, not in  a great flow

You do not have an HIV concern.

When we respond it is always with the assumption that the other person is HIV+.

You are worrying needlessly. Nothing you did put you at risk for HIV. Period.

Other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV. We recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least once a year have a full STD panel done and every 6 months is even better.

HIV isn't a risk because you didn't have unprotected anal or vaginal sex.

Unprotected oral isn't a risk for HIV but is is a risk for other STI's like syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia.

Also genital warts and herpes.

Since you're in the UK, I suggest you find your nearest GUM clinic and freak out in their waiting room rather than our forum.

Please take the time to read our Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0).

Shawn, if you continue to surf the net you are guaranteed to find plenty of material to feed your worst fears. And all to no good purpose.

Anything other than sex with your own hand is theoretically a risk. From long experience in the epidemic we know that the only confirmed risks for sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Receiving oral sex is absolutely not a risk. And giving oral sex is only theoretically a risk as confirmed by several very longterm studies of sero-discordant couples, both gay and straight.

We're not here to deal with what other sites may be saying. We're very, very careful and use science-based information when responding. But as I said, if you keep surfing the net I can guarantee you will keep on scaring yourself needlessly.

andy, whats this sero-discordant?
for my peace i bought a oraquick and unfortunately i didn't read the info carefully, i just washed my mouth and after may be 3 minutes i used the oraquick, and i didn't understand the meaning of swab.  i did half right (only half way in the upper and lower sides of the gums, not full length swab all the way through). but definitely it had touched the walls of mouth and they said don't touch. but anyway it came negative. i am still afraid, that i used it incorrectly

Shawn,

Home testing is not permitted (by law) in the UK. An incorrectly done home test is more likely to give you a false positive result than a false negative - but you never had a risk in the first place.

If you can't bring yourself to believe us that you had no risk, you should just go to your nearest GUM clinic (most hospitals have them) and get a free hiv test instead of screwing around with home tests.

Serodiscordant is a term used to describe a couple where one partner is hiv positive and one partner is hiv negative.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!

Shawn,

I have removed your PM privilege. We do not permit people to use PMs as a means of getting around paying a subscription for participation in the Am I Infected forum. You are not permitted to use PMs to ask questions dealing with hiv transmission and/or testing anyway.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Do NOT use Private Messages to question other members about any transmission, testing or symptom issues. These issues must be discussed in the public forum. Misuse of the PM function in this manner will result in your PM privileges being removed without warning.
