hitting porn site and music downloads like I do, I never trust anonymous surveys. I double-checked my computers with Spybot and then checked this site out on a couple other computers too, and had the popup; but wanted to double check with people here. I X'ed it off too cause I don't like unsolicited surveys that don't seem attached or affiliated with the sites I visit.

a word to the mods then, if y'all want this survery answered you might want to pass along a recommendation about it  ;)

I had it pop-up one time, about an hour an a half ago. I ran Ccleaner and it didn't happen again.

Tsc, not even porn is safe anymore :-)  I usually visit porn sites with firefox (main browser) or IE (if it doesn't work with FF) in private mode.  No history, tracker cookies, etc.  I also avoid flash in general, with a FF extension.  That's my way of "safer porn surfing" :-) Do you have any other suggestions?

as my alter-alter ego of the ComputerTutor suggests (and charges $35 an hour ;)):

1) Install Spybot. Update and run the scan once a month.
Make sure to "immunize" as that'll block a lot of bad spyware in the first place
2) Install AntiVir for a great free anti-virus
just click "ok" to get rid of the ad for the premium version every time it updates (every couple of days)
3) Use CCleaner once a month to clean out all sorts of crap from the register, the recycle bin, and temp files

I was offered a survey the other day and was supposed to receive a $250 gift card for completing it.  It was a bunch of crap for advertising, I get a lot of spam but where oh where is my gift card?   ;D  Have the best day
