Title: Oral sex with ejaculation in mouth
Post by: cielitoj123 on April 28, 2013, 03:58:40 pm
Dear all,

Thank you so much for having this site and helping and providing so much information to all of us.

My question is:

Almost 2 years ago, I had a few sexual relationships in Spain with some transexual prostitutes I found online on a couple of websites.

My interests were sucking with no condom until ejaculating. I had read at that time the risk was extremely low even in case of the person being positive. Some of them ejaculated in my mouth. Sometimes I swallowed sometimes I didn't. No other type of sexual activity occurred.

I have read about some of the "symptoms" at the initial stages of infection but because it was a while back I don't really remember but now they have found a lymph node on my neck (lymphadenopathy).

Do you stand by all your previous posts regards to "no risk" (with ejaculation) through oral sex in my particular case? I know other sites say there is a possibility although less risky.

Once again thank you so much for your contributions.

Oral sex is not a risk and yes we stand by that.

Cielito, your saliva contains over a dozen proteins and enzymes which form a very effective barrier to transmitting viable HIV if it is present. Nothing except sex with your own hand is 100% safe, but we know from decades of experience in the epidemic and longterm studies that the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse.

Other STDs are much easier to transmit so we do recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least annually have a full STD panel done.

As for oral, you are worrying needlessly. Oral risk is not even a possibility unless you had a freshly open and significant wound in your mouth or incredibly horrific mouth care. And you would hardly be likely to giving oral to someone under those circumstances.

Get on with your life. Really.

Thanks for replying to my post so quickly.

I waited to reply so I could have an oraquick test. I performed the test this morning and it is negative.

I will follow the guidelines with this test and have a blood test done next week to confirm.

I understand the risk assessment for my situation is super low but just want to have a full peace of mind.

I also understand there are several people in here and other boards who fear about some of the same risks I took so I will also post the blood results once I have them.

Thanks again for the contribution and hard work!

You're welcome. I expect you to continue to test positive and I also appreciate that sometimes nothing less than another negative result will put fears and doubts to rest.

Cheers.
