Remind me to fire the technician!
« on: August 11, 2009, 08:34:09 pm »
Hubby downloaded our pictures from AMG today - all 346 of them!  He also downloaded the video he took of Mim singing during the Memorial Service.  Problem is - THERE'S NO SOUND! >:(  I guess maybe he SHOULD have read the directions that morning.  What we ended up with is a wonderful moving picture of her standing in front of the room and Razorbill bobbing his head ;)

I know that there were others who took video of her singing (hopefully with sound).  If you don't mind making us a copy and mailing it to us, please PM me for our home address.  We'll glady pay the postage - just let us know how much.

Thanks!
Mum

Don't you dare fire Hubby! It was great to put a face to the "name" and Santi and I were talking on the flights home about how cool he is and how he was just as at home with us as we felt we were with him.

The dumbass technician is me! I'd gotten a low-battery signal on my camera the night before, but after the first verse of Mim's song, it clicked that I needed to be recording it! I have that through the end, with sound, and I could kick myself for not snapping to it before she started.

I'll burn it tomorrow for you.

Not only will I fire the technician, I'm firing the navigator as well.  You all know about our, um... subway adventures.  We managed to figure out how to get around the entire trip - except the LAST one!  After leaving Salem, Hubby put us on the WRONG train and we ended up in Harvard.  We then had to go ground level and find another T-station going the other direction.  Our 20 minute trip turned into over an hour and a half. Good grief!

Basquo, Hubby is usually not good at all in groups of people he doesn't know.  However, after hearing me talk about y'all for the last year and a half, he said there were no strangers.  He was nervous how he'd be perceived (aka "accepted").  After seeing, and correctly identifying, Nick sitting sentry outside the Chandler making sure we didn't miss it on Thursday, he felt completely at home. He's already talking about saving for AMG next year - so look out!
