OK for those of us who can't be there and would love to, how about everyone sharing their pictures in this thread. This way we can enjoy through the wonders of cyberspace. Of course I guess X-rated have to go the the "I Love Porn Thread".

I promised to bring butterflies and flowers, so here's the proof! On top of the TV armoire, contents of which haven't even been turned on yet. I had a hard time convincing the BF why I was bringing these!

This is the wreath that was placed at the Memorial Service at the National Aids Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park. Each forum member placed a gerber daisy by the wreath. some placed thiers in siilent refelection, others stated whom the flower was for. This event is a cornerstone of every AMG. Thank you Jan for coordinating this event. This event for me is what AMG is all abut. Rememberance of those we have lost, & for those living with HIV now.

I am tired from the days travel yet I want to post a few pics of some extraordinary people having a good time.
What a great group of people! I missed-out on photos of gathering at AIDS Memorial since my batteries ran dry....but many have taken great photos and will share once they get back home.
Here are some 'characters'. I am too travel weary to rename and ID them properly...but most of you know who is who....

I think that it was a total success, and I'm sure others will agree. I heard absolutely no whining, complaining, etc. There were only two issues that bothered me. One, it ended too soon and we all had to leave. Two, there were no bottle openers, but I imagine Dennis will help remind us to bring one next time, else he just might wear another Corona!

JR, the man that put the smiles on the many faces of AMG2007.
We aim to please! ;D
Believe me, for every smile I put on someone's face at AMG, you all have repaid me more than one hundred fold.
AMG '07 was one of the more extraordinary experiences of my life. You all brought much love to town, and left even more love behind when you left.
My world is different now, somehow. I haven't quite put my finger on it yet, but I suspect that AMG has something to do with it. Little, serendipitous things started happening for me just about half-way through the weekend. In the past week I have: had a chance encounter with an old friend from 20 years ago, both of us amazed that the other is still alive; had positive people call me up for help because they heard I was good at what I do (and not because an ASO referred them); other attorneys have referred me new positive clients because they know I do benefits (some know my status, most don't).
None of this stuff is new, really. But since you lot came to town, these things have been happening in rapid succession. It's like the love you brought to town, and the love you left me with, has brought me luck and happiness in my day-to-day life. In some circles, they call that family.
Did I say hundred fold? Make that thousand fold.
Before I typed this post, I spent about an hour just looking at the photos in the thread. Just remembering (sigh). Very happy to see the pic of me and Melia--a very beautiful woman who tones up the whole photo! You can't really see it , but I am wearing Mel's heart on my earring. Yes, Melia left her heart in San Francisco.
And David, darling, did you remember to clean up after you got your smiles? Or did you just let it dry up and flake off. Souvenirs? I think I know the answer. I'm still smiling, too. ;)
Love you all,
JR

I hate to correct you, JR, but my post above was 69. You don't think I'd let a number like that slip by, do ya? ;) Remember that little goodie that you told me to 'just ditch'? I left it outside the hotel on the ground, kind of hidden. It was ready to go and waiting for somebody to find and enjoy!

What an absolute gift and privilege it is to see you all through these pictures and to see what a wonderful and important event the AMG has been, is and will continue to be.
Thank you!

<snip> Two, there were no bottle openers, but I imagine Dennis will help remind us to bring one next time, else he just might wear another Corona!
David
Sweetie,
We got a special kind of bottle opener here in SF. If you had only told me of your troubles, I would have given you a demonstration ;) For future reference:
1. Open hotel room door
2. Place beer bottle cap-end into the hole on the door jam where the latch goes
3. Gently pry off the beer cap, being careful not to spill (waste not, want not)
4. Pick up the beer cap from the floor (bend at the knees, or you might fall over. You've been drinking)
5. Close the door, kick back, and enjoy your fresh, frosty brew (if anyone saw you, just roll your eyes at 'em)
Easy as pie. Practice a few times, and you'll see. 8)

Ok who has the group picture. For some reason I did not get one of the group. Especially the one with all of us wearing the masks. :-*

Ditto!......first time have viewed this thread ;)
Edited to add: Just finished the thread here. I am very moved by the first pic in Reply #45. The heads bowed, and also two of you embracing while sitting in the background, it makes me think of who I have lost.

5 days in San Francisco, 3 days in Las Vegas and 2 days trek across the Arizona desert (including a Grand Canyon and Petrified Wood) later...I'm now upto 2331.
Looking forward to boring everyone rigid after I get back to British soil. ;D
But for now, I'm chilling in the Arizona heat with my dear Moffie, his delightful sweetie and their adoreably cute babies...

Ok who has the group picture. For some reason I did not get one of the group. Especially the one with all of us wearing the masks. :-*
Jerry, there is a group picture in the Kodak gallery, one in my album and I believe at least one other one.
I am also waiting to see the group mask picture! :)
edited to add...You are hiding way in the back, what's up with that??
-
Well all of us tall people had no other choice to be in the back since all you short people were in the front. Next time hope there is a bigger room so we all can be in the picture. :-*
-
When we snapped the pictures, I remember "cracking" that I hoped the mezzanine didn't collapse with us all huddled together so close (although that was a nice "group hug") I have one of them in my "album" but am still figuring out my new laptop and how to get them uploaded. Will do so!

Tower and Lisa to the far left walking.
I am really glad that Jerry posted this one, as it is my favorite monument in San Francisco. If you look carefully at it, it is made in scale to an old fire hose nozzle. It was donated and created by one of the most famous "Madams" in San Francisco, Barbary Coast history, as a tribute to all the fire fighters after the 1906 earthquake and fire. Because of the donors famous reputation, the phalic connection is also a sub part of this very visible monument, and every San Francisco native knows that it is phalic first, and hose nozzle second. It is called Coit Tower.
Thanks Jerry, just thought you'd like to know.
Love,
-
very nice pics! im glad you all had fun.
although now after seen all the pics i dont think i want to go to another meeting... you guys are all huge and compared to you all i look like a flea! haha ;D
-
wow,,, very very interesting
-
Gang....I've been out of touch for a while, busy traveling cross-country for work...so no bad reason. :)
VERY disappointed that I didn't keep checking in, as I was in SF at the same time - DAMN!!! Seems I'm always a day late and at least a dollar too short. ;D
Anyway, it is good to see/hear of a wonderful trip!!!! I look forward to future possible gatherings.
