I'm in hour five of a 30 hour blizzard, the second one in four days. The first one delivered 28.5" and this one may very well see another 20" with 50 mph winds.

Heavy snow until 2 AM and then the wind continues for another 12 hours. I've not seen snow like this for at least 15 years. And now they've upped the snow accumulation even more.

Philadelphia has now surpassed its all time record (65.6") for snow in one winter season. We've also now had more snow this winter than Buffalo, NY.

DC and Baltimore have also broke seasonal records as of this afternoon.

That is so weird. To me, I mean, not having been around heavy snowfall for almost 40 years. But I am in Boston right now, where it's been snowing for about 3 hours but it's just not sticking. Here's a picture I took 5 minutes ago; I guess it's still too warm and the snowfall is not heavy enough. I wouldn't even call it a blizzard. It's not much different from Austin.

It's so bad here right now with the wind that the snow looks like it's going up, not down. I can't see more than two blocks up the street. If I was feeling adventurous I'd go out and try to walk around the block, but I dare not do that.

Creighton, the blizzard warning areas are only from DC to the tip of Long Island. Boston is only predicted to get 2-4"

ruh roh... next Monday night and Tuesday. Translating eastward, the storm will next set sights upon the Mid Atlantic and southern New England, with at least 3 to 6 inches, Monday through Tuesday, along the I-95 corridor through Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston.

Kurt and I went shopping yesterday. I bought the LAST TWO large bottles of Svedka .(vodka). at the liquor store on Columbus Boulevard.
Hopefully that will keep me amused until the snow melts.
