Hi Claudiu,

You might be able to sort through some of this here:  http://www.aidsmeds.com/list.shtml

These are excellent and easy-to-read drug lessons.  I'm sure others who have had experience with these will chime in-sooner or later. :)

In my experience, this switch will not eliminate your diarrhea.  In fact, I always found Invirase as bad, if not worse, than Kaletra for that.  Pile a Norvir booster on top of it an even more so.  Should be better for the triglicerides though, and diarrhea, while wretched, can be somewhat controlled with regular use of loperamide (I shall assume you already have a prescription for this, and if you don't then I question how well your doctor is doing his job).

Well, I did say "in my experience" so maybe it's an experience you won't share with me :)  ... but seriously, I'd ask about it.  I only say it because your body is obviously already diarrhea prone like mine was with Kaletra.

May I inquire about exactly how severe your diarrhea has been and what you have normally been taking in terms of extra medication to control this condition, Claudiu?

You can always give this med switch a go and just see -- if it's a bad experience then switch again after a few months.  There's not way to know except to try.  Sucks though since you just were on your current one for only 7 months, and I see from your older posts that this must be your very first regimen.  Looks like you responded OK in terms of lab results thus far, so hope is not lost at all.  Do NOT get discouraged at all, OK?

Thank you,Philly !!! Yes,Kaletra and Combivir it's my first regimen who works great in terms of lab,but very bad side effects, specialy nausea and diarhea... I used for diarhea Imodiun 4-6 capsules every day and a lot of antiemetics. I the last time antiemetics don;t work and all the time I have bad nausea....and nothing can help me. Here AIDS care is free for everybody, but isn't so evoluate like other countryes...My dr think that Invirase+Norvir+Combivir will be the perfect combo for me... ???.I will start in a few days and I will see....
       Thank you!!!!  :-*
