She sounded great vocally, I was impressed. It's also probably a good publicity move, it made me want to get some of those singles of hers from the 90s which are aging well. Maybe it's because it reminds me of simpler times, before 9/11 and before "my pet virus" (to steal Shawn Decker's endearing terminology).

   I saw this early this morning and thought it was badass myself.  I instantly became a fan of hers many years ago when I saw her go off on an interviewer who could not stop looking at her breast.

Remember In Living Color:

The standout prison character is Tiny, a convicted rapist (played by David Alan Grier) who always begins his sentences with "Uhh... uhh..." and always makes references to "a woman with big breasteses" instead of "breasts." If he would ever get out of control because of the orgasmic thought of the "breasteses", the nearest people would have to try and calm him down.

I guess I agree she's badass though, she once also went off on her audience. Probably it's the trauma of having lived in her car before becoming rich and famous. ;)

   I tend to like artists through their live performances instead of the radio play or polished CD's.  Jewel is one of those singers who sound better live IMO.  Her vocal flaws do stand out, but it's what makes her seem so real.  I'm a big fan.

I love it! Jewel is Awesome.

Kinda Reminds me of the time Ty Herndon was incognito singing Karaoke at OCH in Austin, word soon got out that it was Ty and afterwards he took a likin' to my b/f, we were all 3 dancing and he was touching and groping my ex...soon his "fake girlfriend" whisked him away, but not before we gave him our digits. Alas, he never called :'(

It (Jewel's part) does sound good but all those eractic movements Jessica does looks like she's going in and out of seizures....  that thing she does with her mouth ain't cute either.  I wonder why the variety show ain't no more??
