CD4 Envy & IL Trials
« on: July 23, 2008, 02:42:27 am »
OK, so I'm jealous of those big TCELLS some of you gals and guys have [you know who you are] :'(.
I want me some more of that. ??? LOL

Anybody been in trials looking at increasing CD4s? If so, pros/cons of your experiences? I contacted NIH recruiting last week and will receive some protocols from the phone screening. Am considering IL-2 or IL-7 studies, but open to suggestions. Chime in with opinions. Wanna weight if a trial treatment might be worth it.

Got my new labs and the doc says "patience" with my body. Obviously, most valuable is that VL is still nil, CD% is finally double digit with a small dip in absolute count. So good news really. Lipids better with trigs way norm again. An homage to Omega-3 fish oils and Lipitor I guess. Agreed to resume Bactrim 3/week.

I'm curious why my body is t-cell sluggish [mostly rhetorical], probably a sweet mystery. Right now the quality of my life is pretty high. The idea of tampering with that to gain some helpers, that may not be permanent, is a challenge. But I'm in a take the bull by the horns moment. I know my nadir was pretty low so my climb might just be slow.

Glad you're still alive to tell your story. So you're doing something right!!
Sorry about the loss of your friends. No offense but, do you mind if we CAN'T be friends? [kidding ok? :)  -YaKa
