April just sucked for me
« on: April 28, 2008, 03:16:13 pm »
I am over this month of April...I have been sick the entire month...first the flu/cold that lasted about 3 weeks then just as I begin to feel better...this Saturday I got too much sun and I have a horrible sunburn on my shoulders and arms ( i was wearing a "wife beater" and I still look like I have one when I take off my shirt..yes it is that bad)...so I got sick (puked) Saturday night....then yesterday (Sunday) I had a wonderful day..spent it in the city then went to a Pozzie T-Dance where I met a wonderful man.  We left the bar and went to dinner at this little Thai restaurant.  After dinner we went back to his place,  made out a lot, like teenagers...lol....just didn't have intercourse... ::) ,anyway...I get home and I had the runs and today I wake up with a rash all over my neck arms and torso....what the hell....food poison, sun poison, scarlet fever?
I just had blood drawn today and I go to the doctor tomorrow...I have a feeling my immune system is not working...my t-cells must be very low ...damned this month of April  >:(

Hey Rich,

Are you still coming to the Russian River with your bike group trips in May?  I planned to have my Pom Poms drycleaned to cheer you on to Healdsburg and you started getting sick and now with Duncans Mills to Marin coming up soon, well there just isn't a lot of port-a-potties on Hwy 1.

Did you know... There is no beach on the coast highway called Sonoma Beach?  My personal screen name really means, "son-of-a-bitch."  ;D  Have the best day

Oh yes Michael, I will go to that ride even if  I don't feel better...i may have to drive instead of biking, but I am not missing all the fun activities planned for that weekend...

It will be fun to see you again  ;D  Please be advised, there are no drycleaners on the Russian River and with fuel prices hitting over the $4 mark in our cheap stations, a round trip to Santa Rosa for drycleaning probably won't happen... The Pom Poms may be a little soiled  ;D ;D ;D  Have the best day

Wow, Rich.  Talk about needing to go back to bed, get up and start the month all over again.  Geesh.

Sorry, Rich -- I hope May goes better for you.  I was sick half the month of April so I feel your pain.  And I had my blood work done right in the middle of the bout of bronchitis (which seems finished now) so I'll see how it moved my numbers or not on Wednesday.

Hello Rich,

Sorry you've been going through so much lately. I can tell you one thing, I had sun poisoning once, from being well over exposed one day, years ago. it was a totally miserable couple of days, and it started off wiith a lot of vomiting,(uncontrollable), and the  headaches were pretty nasty. April's almost over . Here's to a better month of May  ! You need to get yourself some rest, bring out the calomine lotion too.

Take care----Ray

Hey Rich,

Damn hon, you sound like you've been having a time of it.

If you need some extra T cells, I'll send you some of mine. Well, I would if I could.

Hope things are on an upward turn now.

HUGS,

Mark

I was *hoping* that you just met a boy named April, but I read that your month wasn't very pleasant. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry to read that April has been treating you so poorly.  Seems like a lot of people I know got some sort of flu this month.  I hope you recover from your sun damage.  I'm rather pale so I tend to avoid the sun ... burn way too easy.  I can relate to your pain.  Hope you start feeling better real soon.

Rich, sorry you had a rough month of it--but I gotta say....going out in the blazing sun and burning like that...on the heels of a health issue, no less. tsk. tsk. tsk. I know how it is. All couped up in the house and just waiting to tear out of there for some fun! I have a suggestion to insure the month of May moves gayly forward: a dance around the maypole.  :D
"Witches gather circle round,
Now do we begin our magic sound,
The Beltane spell to conjure in
love and fertility so smile and begin.
Then dance the Maypole round and round,
laugh and make a joyous sound.
Tis life we celebrate today,
on the very first of May."

With this pagan ritual behind you, you then may proceed to frolic to your hearts content. But use some sunscreen.
