oral sex....i´m positive????
« on: July 29, 2008, 08:22:30 pm »
hello!!!  this is my first post in english so, im very sorry for my bad language.well, this is my story: since mid-March to mid-May Hang out with a girl I will later learn WHICH IS HIV positive. In that period of time we have vaginal sex (maybe 6 to 8 times) but always always with a condom. However, we had oral relations (oral sex) mutually WITHOUT careful about this, my mouth was in direct contact with their genitals (about 4 times). AROUND THE 5.5 weeks of last  ORAL contact i made  complete analysis Includes obviously the HIV1 / 2 WHICH gave me negative. But in recent weeks (since june)  has emerged a very annoying rash on my chest and arms , swollen glands and  the dentist  told me that I have leukoplasia caused by an infection that went down my defenses. i also have pain on the scalp and hurt the joints (wrist, ankle)
At the time I had contacts "at risk" (oral sex) I had a problem with a tooth in my mouth and I had to the draw. My greatest concern is that this was the place where the virus has come into my body. was not a bleeding wound healed quickly and, just a week or more had sex back. Besides my mouth is not perfect and we say also that I have any other cavities and I inflamed gums occasionally. that is why I have so worry! I am super terrified, these months have been the worst of my life, and almost do not sleep, and not as I am about to lose their jobs, all for this.

The doctor who has see me told me that all this is a result of stress.

leukoplakia  is one of the main symptoms of been positive?

What are my chances ?  Could be ARS?

I see you're a refugee from our spanish language section. I don't speak or read spanish but I presume you've asked this question over there already.

Performing oral sex on a woman (HIV positive or otherwise) is not a risk for HIV transmission. I don't see any need for testing on your part as a result of the sexual encounter. Your poor oral hygiene makes no difference. I think your doctor is right, your problems are stress related, not HIV related.

Nothing you have reported doing put you at risk for HIV transmission. You used condoms for intercourse which is exactly what you are supposed to do. They provide you with very effective protection. Performing oral on a woman is NOT a risk for HIV transmission.

As I've already told you in the Spanish-language Forum that leukoplaikia is not an HIV-specific problem. Hopping around from the Spanish to English Forums is not going to get you any different answers. You did not have a risk for HIV.

Your symptoms are not HIV-specific, which isn't a surprise since you didn't have a risk. You need to discuss them with your doctor to determine what the real cause or causes. This is NOT an HIV situation no matter what your head is telling you to the contrary.

My greatest concern is the cut that i had in my mouth ( cause my tooth was removed)And also some possible injury in the internal face of my cheeks at the time that i performed the cunnilingus. sorry about my constant post but with my simptoms (leucoplasia, dermatitis, rash, etc) it's hard for me to stay calm.

thank you everyone for your answers.

YOU WERE NOT AT RISK. YOU DON"T HAVE HIV.

The sores in your mouth make no difference. You cannot contract HIV from performing oral sex on a woman. If you feel ill, see your doctor.

Elmarto,

You need to either post in the Spanish forum or the English forum. You can't post in both. You'll get the same answers in either.

You have NOT HAD A RISK.

If you have a concern see your doctor. You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV as you have already been advised.

You were never at risk of contracting HIV from getting a blowjob. Saliva is not infectious.
