Oral-related question
« on: May 29, 2012, 09:36:30 am »
So last year I learned my lesson.  I had unprotected vag sex with a prostitute.  Thankfully tested negative 3 months post exposure.

Since then, always used condoms for vaginal sex.

Also read here that going down on the woman isn't a risk.

However, I have a specific possible incident I worry about,

This happened 2 days ago.

I gave the woman oral and we also had protected vaginal sex.  After this was done, I saw there was some blood on the toilet seat in the bathroom (she went right before I did after our sex).  This lead me to believe that she might've been on her period without saying anything or her not knowing.  I also worry I may have had a cut on my lips or inside gums behind the lips, both areas that had direct contact with her vagina and maybe blood, if there was any.  I am not sure as the lights were low.

If she was bleeding and I had an open cut in my mouth, would that have been a risk?

Thanks for your time.

Nothing you mention here in any way changes our assessment of cunnilingus as a no-risk activity as regards to HIV.

As JK has indicated, giving oral to a woman is not a risk even if she is having her period. Your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV.

There's no need for further concern or for testing over this incident.

I'm a moron...

So I stayed safer this whole year since the unprotected incident I posted about. (Meaning I've used a condom every single time I did vaginal sex).

Today, that streak ended. I had sex the first time using a condom. Nothing for oral, but I don't worry about hiv for that act based on reading the info here.

The lady allowed me to get off a second time. We started with oral again, and I fingered her while this was going on. I did feel lots of fluids. I couldn't finish the second time, so she allowed me vaginal again.  She didn't have anymore condoms. I guess she didn't expect more than 1 client or for me to go twice. I hesitated for a moment, but the physical took over and we had unprotected vaginal sex.  Within less than a minute, I pulled out without ejaculating and told her it was okay and I was a bit tired. Truth is I began to worry and didn't want to add more risk by staying in for a longer time.

I'm guessing I will need to test at 13 weeks.

I'm wondering if pep would be a good idea?  I have no idea if she allows other clients to go bareback or if it was just a rare instance with me this one time.  I see her about once a month, but she's never offered me bareback before.

Not sure if this lowers risk in any way, but after I pulled out I wiped my penis dry and urinated within 5 minutes.

This makes absolutely no difference in terms of risk. Your risk was on the low end of the scale, but it was a risk nonetheless. While I personally would not recommend PEP over this incident, I would recommend a test at three months. A six weeks' test will be all but conclusive however.

Thanks, jkin.  I definitely respect your response.  Just wondered if the other moderators  think that for this particular situation, if pep is needed.

I understand I will need to test either way....

I was just curious if I am allowed to PM or interact with members in other sections of the forums.  If so, which ones?  I didn't want to break any rules or get reported and get banned.
