The great ordeal with Oral!!!
« on: January 11, 2010, 12:27:07 am »
So I have ran this through my mind over a zillion times and it still scares the hell out of me...I am a female that received oral from another female known to be very promiscuous a few months back and her status is unknown...I am not sure if she was bleeding inside the mouth....Lets say she was HIV positive and had blood in her mouth...could i have contracted HIV from her? I tested negative 3 months after the exposure but i still feel the need to go get tested again at the 6 month mark because it is scaring me so bad!!! Plz Help Me!!! It would be greatly appreciated!!!

Your three month test result is conclusive because you were not at risk of contracting HIV from this encounter. You do not need to test again at 6 months because of this experience.

Please take the time to read our Welcome Thread to learn more about how HIV is and is not transmitted.

In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a single confirmed case of transmission through the act you are concerned about. It's safe to say you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

The only confirmed means of sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as the insertive partner uses condoms consistently for those activities you won't have a problem with sexual transmission.

You are worrying needlessly. Get on with your life.

OK. I want you to take a good deep breath as you are reading this. Let it out slowly and then do it again. I mean it.

Now, maybe I have your attention for this moment more than your fears do.

As far as HIV is concerned you are worrying totally without any basis in HIV science. There was never any need for testing and there certainly isn't any need for further testing. You ought to be discussing any symptoms that are bothering you with your doctor. There is nothing suggestive of HIV about your symptoms, but then that's not surprising since you didn't have a risk for contracting the virus from anything you have reported.

Are you listening or are you still glued to those unwarranted fears about HIV?

HIV not your problem. Period. End of story. Really.

Poking and prodding at your lymph nodes will make them swell. Stop doing that.

Discuss your lymph nodes with your doctor. By squeezing them you can create a real problem where none exists.

So....I took another HIV test marking my 6 months....And I am also able to see them online....trying to move past this but seeing that it isn't as easy as i thought....is it possible that the lab could have messed up? is it possible that the young lady that took my blood put the wrong label on the tube with my blood in it and i possible have gotten some one else's results? I don't understand why i cannot just move on!

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Just drop the attitude. Your continual posting about this non risk is a breach of our posting guidelines. Rod is quite within his rights to point this out to you.

In,

Sure, you're entitled to your emotions. However, the science of hiv transmission does not support your fears that by having your pussy licked, sucked, or otherwise pleasured by another human being is going to result in you ending up hiv positive.

You had sexual relations with another woman.  Get over it already. You didn't have a risk for hiv infection and your test results more than prove that fact.

If you insist on continuing to post over this NO RISK situation, you WILL be given a time out.
