Title: Initial SSDI Claim Approved.

 I called my local SS office yesterday 12/26/13 just to check the status of my  SSDI claim, low and behold the SS lady told me that I was just approved. She also gave my onset date. I applied in April 2013 and was preparing myself for a denial. Disability process is cumbersome, emotionally and physically draining. I'm still in shock. I believe the advice I received from members of this forum and my attention to details made the difference. I made sure all my medical records were submitted to DDS. I also personally faxed in updated medical records and made regular follow up calls  to my DDS Examiner.  Below you'll find my first post with some great tips from some members of the forum.
