behaving like a young in
« on: March 02, 2011, 07:23:05 am »
I just found out yesterday that my mum has plans to move to Florida.  She retired after 40 years with the same company about the same time as my last illness.  I was forced to move home and had no idea she put her plans on hold because of me.  I helped her load her car yesterday for her 2 1/2 day trip that should only be one long day but realize she needs to piss off every driver on the way driving 60 mph in the fast lane.

She's been gone less than a day now and I'm starting to feel lost.  20 years ago she simply stated that I had to fight this illness and move on.  It was 1991 and I was in the hospital with total organ failure and had the most beautiful shade of orange and was told that I wouldn't leave that place.  I thought I was hallucinating, but later found out that I had a priest giving me final prayers even though we're strict Southern Baptists.

She bought a trailer outside of Jacksonville and I can't wait to tease her about that one.  Most people who are lucky enough to escape WVA would never resort to this lifestyle.  I'm trying to figure out something special to make her arrival there special.  I thought about flowers, but that's lame.  Perhaps I'll write a heart felt letter and send her an envelope full of scratch off lottery tickets.

The one thing I won't miss is hearing the phrase "Bombshell", she loves watching Nancy Grace and I find that bitch so annoying.

and I hope you adapt to the change in your life :-*

She hasn't made it yet.  She stopped for gas and "happened" to find a casino and since she was tired decided to spend the night.....there goes the inheritance.

Who knows... a visit to the casino could double the inheritance.  Not likely but the slim chance is there.  Now you have a place to go visit when it gets a bit chilly up there where you are these days.  Stop by and say hi when you pass through SC.

I feel so bad for Ms Lily.  She never goes into the driveway and I looked out  yesterday and she's just sitting there like she's waiting for mom to return.  She sat there for over an hour before I brought her in and cuddled with her.
