Who comes up with these names? Tivicay??

Pretty impressive trial results.  This drug will become the new "gold standard." So far its outperformed the previous title holder (Atripla) and everything else for that matter. 

Conversely I remember hearing that because this drug performed so well in trials that it may actually make it harder for new drugs to be approved as they will now be required to at least match the efficacy of it, which may be difficult to achieve. Double edged sword.

This has also been posted in the Treatments forum, which is a better fit as this med is no longer in research, but has gained approval for use.
