Lymph Node Remedy Page
« on: October 07, 2013, 09:07:11 pm »
There probably are some things out there that at least help with this condition, so I figure I'll start a thread.

First: Medications, if you are going HAART therapy route.

Second: Holistic Supplements. I found some moderate relief from the following:
-Antioxidants (Vitamin C, etc)
-Cleavers & Calendula (two supplements, which help to alleviate this condition.)
-Licorice Root (gives an energy boost overall.)
-Turmeric (anti-inflammatory and booster of immune system.)
-Probiotics (boost immune response.)

If there are other remedies out there, please add to this list.

Surgery.

(It's how I was diagnosed, although it turned out to be cat scratch disease that caused the lymph node thing. But surgery got rid of that swollen bastard.)

Hydrocodone plus heat.  I would put my heating pad up against my neck.  For me, the neck and clavicle nodes seemed to ache more than others.

Swollen lymph nodes are not an illness to be cured. They are healthy immune response to an infection.
The cause needs to be targted not the swelling.

Sorta kinda sounds like you think taking HAART is just one option among many. A choice, at a fork in the road.

Sooner or later, the vast majority of HIV+ people MUST take HAART....  For these people, just some wiggle room as to when to start.

I agree with HARLEYMC - treat the damn HIV infection, folks...

The only treatment for HIV that works is HAART, and at this time you need to take it until something else comes along, which could be forever.

There are many choices of what medications to take. They're actually fantastic medications, as meds go...they have no more serious side effects than things like high blood pressure meds or cholesterol meds, but they make a dramatic improvement in your health.

Don't let HIV damage your body any more. If you are having "lymph node problems" you are already symptomatic. It's just a matter of time before you become really sick.

It's going to be hard to find people who chose not to "go the HAART route" because they sadly are all dead.
